Bala Baya, Southwark

Under the Old Union Arches in Southwark, South London is an intriguing restaurant location that features food from Tel Aviv and the surrounding region. With Bala Baya now offering a Michelin Special Menu, there has never been a time to tuck into this trendy cuisine for less on TheFork.

Dishes here are fresh, vibrant and exhibit the passion of the restaurant’s owner, Chef Eran Tibi and team. Here, you are treated to a horde of sides and small-plates and encouraged to share and eat socially. From classic hummus with spiced chickpea salsa, to blackened aubergine with oregano and tahini, there are familiar flavours and new experiences alike. Don’t miss the Tunisian Tartare of beef fillet on bulgur wheat with harissa, burnt peppers, mustard and a garlic mayo.

Benares, Mayfair

If you’ve never been to Benares, in Mayfair, then now might be the perfect time, with a fantastic Michelin Special Menu on offer. Now, you can enjoy this high-end Indian dining experience yourself.

After being treated to your glass of champagne on arrival, the menu presents a journey through some of Benare’s most proud creations. From Porlock Bay Oyster and Cured Sea-Bream Chaat to Baked Malabar Scottish Scallop, hand-dived and served with crispy bread Podi. Tawa Masala Wild Halibut with Portsmouth Clam Moilee showcases a flourishing relationship between Indian and British flavours.

Wild Honey, St James’

Renowned Head Chef Anthony Demetrus brings his signature style to the stoves of Wild Honey St James’, a much-hyped restaurant that blends classic fine French cuisine with dashes of Modern European flair.

Dish after dish will guide you on this tasting adventure. Begin with crispy, salt cod Accras fritters, and take in the flavours of the slow roasted cylindra beetroot served with last of the summer Provencal peaches and Christian Parra black pudding. The Daphne’s Denbighshire lamb comes with late summer aubergines and a green vegetable vinaigrette, and for dessert, try the signature Wild honey ice cream, with raw wild honey cut from the comb.

The Zebra Riding Club, Waltham Cross

The Zebra Riding Club is a new destination in Waltham Cross that brings all the charm of a countryside retreat to the suburbs of London. Bringing a truly boutique mindset to the restaurant game, the team here have won early acclaim for their rustic approach to cooking and serene setting.

Available to book now is a special Michelin menu that brings together the best the Riding Club has. Start with a selection of snacks including Gilchesters sourdough, cured courgette with basil and lemon and cured meat with home-made pickles. Your main course is a rich, wood-fired lamb leg with aubergine and Cuore del Vesuvio tomato, or delicious Grezzina Courgette in a buttermilk dressing for vegetarian and vegan diners.

Corrigans, Mayfair

Mayfair is home to many storied restaurants, with many Michelin stars among them. One of the most notable, though, is Corrigans, just off Hyde Park, that takes pride in serving authentic and traditional fine-dining, from the mind of the eponymous Head Chef Richard Corrigan.

For your appetiser, start with homemade bread with Lincolnshire Poacher hand-patted butter. Next, Risotto with wild garlic and parmesan, or a rich Terrine of Moyallon Ham Hock & Rabbit with peas, broad beans, black olives and pistachio. The main course of Landes Guinea Fowl is served with Loire valley white asparagus, Coffee and Vin Jaune.

Galvin Bistrot & Bar, Spitalfields

This Bistrot bears the name of the Galvin Brothers, who any lover of London’s French fine-dining scene will recognise. Here at Galvin Bistrot & Bar you can sample the best bits of their culinary vision.

Now available to book on TheFork is their amazing new Michelin special menu. Start off with Rosette de Lyon with Celeriac Remoulade or Isle of Wight Tomatoes with lovage & pickled red onion. For main, Cornfed Chicken Breast with broad beans and girolles, or healthy Spiced Aubergine Iman Bayaldi, with tahini and topped with pine nuts. Don’t miss dessert of Buttermilk Panacotta with strawberries and pistachio.

Kutir, Chelsea

This modern Indian restaurant in Chelsea is the pride and joy of Head Chef Chef Rohit Ghai, and rightly so. At Kutir, they have been faithfully serving locals with excellent high-end Indian cuisine since they opened in 2018.

A read down their new Michelin special menu will tell you what the fuss is about. Prawn Masala is delicious in its coconut, sesame and peanut sauce, or Salmon Mooli with Tandoori tikka and raita pickle. Black Cumin Tandoori Lamb chop is served in kachumber and yoghurt to cool down its hot and fragrant flavour. To finish, their Chocolate Orange Doughnut with meringue and chilli is both light and decadent.

Kanishka, Mayfair

Chef Atul Kochar’s creations at Mayfair draw plaudits from far and wide, and a steady mix of diners both business and casual. All who visit Kanishka are treated to a multi-sensory experience, from the bold decor, to the fragrant and familiar smells emanating from his kitchen.

With a focus on North-East Indian regional fare, a great way to explore the cuisine is their new Michelin special menu offer. Fly from Tandoor-smoked paneer with gundruk chutney and jalpai jola asaar to Grilled salmon with aubergine bhaja, bilahir tok and malai curry.

Ginza, St James’

This upmarket St James’ location Ginza serves Japanese cuisine with a fittingly elegant and minimalist approach. Their Michelin special menu showcases all of the best bits, from the Sushi and Sashimi to the sticky Robata skewers.

Tuck into Take marbled tuna, Salmon, yellowtail and white fish. Or, try the masterful Matsu Salmon roes scallops. The Chef’s special 8-piece platter is on hand for those new to the cuisine or who simply can’t decide!

Ekstedt at The Yard, Embankment

Scandinavian cuisine seems to be earning the favour among London foodies, with new locations elevating the cuisine to new heights. Chief among them is Ekstedt at The Yard, from the mind of chef and now restaurateur, Niklas Ekstedt.

The three-course Michelin special menu is a great place to start if you are new to the Scandi approach to food. Starters of Ember Baked Trout and Birch Flamed Chanterelles imply the wild, rustic approach of the chef’s signature flame-cooking style. Mains of Juniper Smoked John Dory and Slow Charcoal Roasted Pork Neck are certainly fit for colder climates, and might just prove a hit with London diners this winter.

Covent Garden has been home to many a famous restaurant or wine bar, but one Bistro that stands out is Pivot Bar & Bistro, on the pleasant Henrietta Street. Situated near some of the best theatres and shopping in the city, make this your next reservation on TheFork today.

Take your seat in their Georgian Townhouse location and enjoy the new Michelin special menu for some amazing value. Start with Roasted Pumpkin Soup with creme fraiche or Scottish Smoked Salmon with capers.
