We are running the “Win Winter Wonderland Afternoon Tea for two” and offering the opportunity for 1 entrant to win a Winter Wonderland Afternoon Tea set menu for two adults including one glass of brut, rosé or white label Lanson Champagne each, worth £85 per person, at The Chesterfield Mayfair, 35 Charles Street, W1J 5EB London, England. 

Prize: 

1st Prize: A Winter Wonderland Champagne Tea set menu for two people with 100ml glass of brut, rosé or white label Lanson Champagne per person. Prize is worth £85 per person and must be redeemed before January 5th 2025. 

The prize is supplied by The Chesterfield Mayfair, 35 Charles Street, W1J 5EB London, England. The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control makes it necessary to do so, what entrants recognise and accept. 

Guests need to pre-book to claim their prize. The Winter Wonderland Afternoon tea set menu is available for lunch only. Bookings are subject to availability. No cash alternative. 

How to Enter: 

To enter, 

  1. Follow @thefork_uk & @chesterfieldmayfair 
  2. Tag the friend you’d share the prize with (with his/her approval) 
  3. Like the Instagram competition post (posted by @thefork_uk on the 25th November 2024 and online until the 1st December 2024). 

The winner will be notified by private message on its Instagram account from @thefork_UK on 2nd December 2024 and must provide its full name, email address, telephone number and postal address to claim its prize. If a winner does not respond to the Promoter within 24 hours, then the winner's prize will be forfeited, and the Promoter will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above. 

No purchase necessary. One entry per person. Your Instagram account must be set to public so entry criteria can be verified. 

Between the following dates: 

Opening Date: 5pm, UK time on 25th November 2024 and 

Closing Date: 11.59pm, UK time on 1st December 2024 

The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received before the 2nd December 2024.

Official Contest Terms and Conditions 

1. Who is running the Contest 

This Contest is run by Bookatable Limited (trading as TheFork), registered in England and Wales under company number 04494036, the registered office of which is at 7 Soho Square, London W1D 3QB (the “Promoter” or “TheFork”). 

2. Eligibility 

To participate, you must be resident in the UK and aged 18 or over. Employees (and immediate family members and households of employees) of TheFork or any of its group companies, or its agencies or suppliers associated with this Contest, are not eligible to enter. Regarding the use of alcohol: 

  • Drink responsibly 
  • Drink in moderation
  • Don't drink and drive

The sale and consumption of alcohol are prohibited for those under 18 years of age. 

No purchase in order to enter. Only one entry per person is permitted. 

3. How to enter 

You must submit your entry between the Opening Date and Closing Date stated in, and by the method described on the main Contest page on our blog here (“Contest Page”). 

You must ensure that all details included with your entry are true and accurate. We cannot accept entries after the Closing Date. All Contest entries received for any reason after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified. We are not responsible for Contest entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause. 

The use of automated entry software, mechanical or electronic devices that allow an individual to automatically enter the Contest is prohibited and will render all such entries void. 

By submitting a Contest entry, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. 

4. Selection 

Winner and runners up (if any) will be chosen according to the method set out on our Contest Page. This selection may be at random or according to the criteria described on the Contest Page. 

The decision of TheFork will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. 

We will send the names of the judges to anyone who writes within 30 days of the Closing Date requesting details of the judges and who encloses a self-addressed envelope to the address set out in paragraph 1. 

5. Notification of winners 

We will contact the winner and any runners up within 24 hours of the Closing Date, by private Instagram message on their Instagram account. 

We are required to publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation we will publish the surname and county of the winner and any runners up, and, if applicable, their winning entries, on Instagram within 4 days of the Closing Date (“Publication Date”). 

If you object to any or all of your name, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact TheFork at @email. In such circumstances, we must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request. 

6. The Prize 

The Prize is described on the Contest Page. Prize must be redeemed before January 5th 2025. Any Prize not redeemed in that period will be forfeited without replacement. 

Winner will be sent instructions as to how to claim and redeem their prize. 

We will make all reasonable efforts to contact you if you have won a prize. If you cannot be contacted or you have not claimed your prize within 24 hours from the Publication Date, we reserve the right to offer the Prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the entries that were received before the Closing Date. 

We do not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize. If, for any reason, the Prize described on our Contest Page is unavailable, we may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and cannot be sold or exchanged for cash. Any additional travel and accommodation costs not mentioned are at the expense of the winner. 

7. Ownership of Contest entries and intellectual property rights 

All Contest entries and any accompanying material (“Materials”) submitted to us will become our property on receipt and will not be returned. 

By submitting your Materials, you agree to: 

  • assign all your intellectual property rights with full title guarantee to us, and 
  • waive all moral rights 

in and to your Contest entry and otherwise arising in connection with your entry to which you may now or at any time in the future be entitled under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 as amended from time to time and under all similar legislation from time to time in force anywhere in the world. 

You warrant that: 

  • you are the sole legal and beneficial owner of all rights and interests in the Materials 
  • the Materials do not contain anything that is unlawful, infringes any third party’s privacy or intellectual property rights or is defamatory, rude, offensive, hateful, discriminatory, obscene or otherwise objectionable. 

You agree that if any of these warranties are untrue, in whole or in part, that you will indemnify and hold TheFork harmless from any liabilities, losses, damages and expenses (including but not limited to reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with any claim or suit based upon the allegations, which if true, would be a breach of the warranties above. 

8. Data Protection and publicity 

We will only process your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy. TheFork requires your personal information in order to conduct the Contest. If you do not provide the mandatory personal information requested then you will not be able to take part in the Contest. TheFork will use the entrants’ personal information to administer the Contest, announce the winner and disclose the entrants’ personal information to organisations that assist TheFork with administering the Contest and announcing the winner, and to third parties as required by law. An entrant may access and correct any personal information held by TheFork, upon request to TheFork. 

9. Limitation of Liability 

TheFork, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate you or to accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the Prize except where any liability cannot be excluded by law. Your statutory rights are not affected. 

This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with either Meta or Instagram. Entrants release both Meta and Instagram from any and all liability resulting from this Contest. Entrants are providing their personal information to TheFork and not to Meta or Instagram. 

10. General 

If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, we may, at our sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the Contest. 

We reserve the right to void, suspend, cancel, or amend the Contest where it becomes necessary to do so. 

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be illegal or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms and Conditions can otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. 

Our failure to enforce our rights under these Terms and Conditions at any time and for any period shall not be construed as a waiver of such rights. 

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
