Mediocre food and even more mediocre service. I suggest that the quality of the cuts of steak can be improved immensely and the staff can be trained to be more attentive. I do not expect to have to have my hand up and look around to get the attention of a server multiple times during the course of dinner or to pour my own bubbly.

Excellent ambience and great service. Menu a little too restrictive especially for starters.

The restaurant lacked its normal atmosphere table next to me swearing all night loudly. Food very disappointed and thought was expensive for what turned out to be a burger and chip night and fish and chips lousy menu totally let this hotel down. I took friends here and was embarrassed.

Very busy in the restaurant when we visited. Food excellent as always. The 1907 menu ok but lots of additional charges for premium dishes and sides.

The food was very good, although we thought it on the expensive side, especially £4.95 for a bottle of still water! The staff were very polite and attentive.

I took my partner here to celebrate his birthday. The service was brilliant and the food fantastic. We had the pork belly, triple lamb and for dessert passionfruit cheese cake and chocolate cherry tart. All of the food was delicious and we were impressed by it and the service we recieved. We will definitely be recommending 1907 to others.

Lovely ambience at the restaurant with good good choices for starter and main. Felt dessert could have been better as there wasn’t much which wasn’t creamy but overall a lovely evening and great breakfast in the morning

Large, cold restaurant. There were six people seated when we arrived for our 1pm booking. We waited for ages before anyone came to seat us. Menu disappointing. Waited ages for someone to return to take our order. Took even longer for the food to come. Unbelievably slow, slow service at every stage.

Excellent food, however, I think more choice is needed on the starter menu.

Unexpectedly, received a call 1 hr before booking to be told we would be served in the bar - upon arrival, there was a massive party in the restaurant SO this was known about well before my 1 hour notice. Not great to be honest.

Very underwhelmed Staff were not on the ball Soup came to cold them lukewarm Despite requesting a change I believe I got the same bowl back heated in the microwave. The inclusive meal is anything but as sides are extra. Not really acceptable as one would expect to have one or two sides. The main meal for me was sea bream which in John Torodes words was like rubber and overcooked My partner had lamb and said one of the trio was inedible. No sides that complimented the trio of lamb. The desert we both had sorbet and this was good but I suspect these were out of a supermarket tub. Coffee took 30 minutes to arrive Overall very unhappy and poor service. The chef needs to step up the game and be less inventive and serve decent honest food

The food was tasty and fresh. I most enjoyed the breakfast- fresh tea, coffee and a beautifully presented spread. Wonderful polite staff are a lovely bonus to the whole experience.

Lovely venue, nice ambience, excellent staff but food a disappointment and for the quality - really overpriced. Had a chateaubriand and was very disappointed. Accompanying sauce was a total let down too. Side was very under seasoned too. Fellow guests had a tough steak and an average burger too. All in all for a meal for 4 costing over £200 without any real wine - felt totally let down with the food quality which was a great shame as had looked forward to a special night out.
