Beautiful place. Service was average and the food was good but not memorable. Based on the reviews I expected more. The portions are big- therefore one plate is good enough for two people. The atmosphere is very common.

Terrible service. We waited over 15mim and had to ask twice before even getting a drink menu. No one asked us how our food was or checked on us during the meal. It was atrocious. The servers were polite and helpful when asked for things, they just weren’t attentive. The setting was beautiful although to Be honest had a weird almost sewer like Smell. Food was good but not amazing. Overall no where near the hype this place Receives , I would never recommend this place to a friend.

We were so excited to book A Casa do Bacalhau, as we both love cod. The restaurant is in an old building and has been restored beautifully. Once we arrived It took a while for us to be acknowledged and sat at our table. There was a bread on the table and three different butters, all very tasty. For appetizers we ordered the codfish soup and codfish fritters, both very good. Once our entree’s came it was all downhill . The Bacalhau com Natas was extremely salty and liquidy. The Bacalhau a Braz was even worst, the onions were almost raw and the dish had no flavour. We felt the food was all very rushed and no one in the kitchen for quality control just many cooks running around.

Service was very fantastic! I must to come back!

This is an amazing place with good food, great service and a lovly warm atmosphere. Try the confite cod and the cod tongues!! Mmmm... :) and the wine!!

Food excellent However they seems have not enough staffs to take care all the tables even during the lunch time

Was very disappointed at how under-seasoned the bacalhau dishes were. We had several dishes and only one was perfect. Staff and service were excellent and the dining room was gorgeous. Hopefully it was a bad night but was totally disappointed.
