Afternoon Tea at Copthorne Tara Hotel

The staff were unaware of our booking for Afternoon Tea. We were however seated and told it would be ready for us in 20 minutes, the food arrived 55 minutes later. The sandwich fillings were not what was shown on the menu and didn't taste nice at all. The cakes were also not what was stated on the menu and were very dry. The scones were delicious, the only nice part of the meal. We were the only people in the restaurant so there was no atmosphere and the staff weren't particularly friendly or helpful. My only recommendation. Would be for people to avoid booking Afternoon Tea here, it was appalling.

Despite the initial appearance of the hotel and that we were the only table set up for afternoon tea, the food and service was good. The staff were helpful and tried to make our visit enjoyable. No real atmosphere which was a shame. We chose the hotel as it was close to our show venue.

The food was delicous and a great bargain. The serving staff were welcoming and super helpful. We were seated in a quiet spot in the back of the restaurant area.
