Would have been nice to have a savoury pastry far to many cakes so it was not to our liking

Beautiful location inside a very spacious and antique building. The afternoon tea section has a number of low tables and comfortable seats. The service was amazing and the food was even better. Not the cheapest afternoon tea we’ve had but it was all worth it for how much we all enjoyed it.

A lovely afternoon at Crewe Hall . Ideal location near the M6 as we were all meeting up from various points of the North West .
Staff attentive when we sat down but some friends turned up early and struggled to get a drink being sent to other areas of the hotel and back again.
Afternoon tea was good but not fantastic. £35 is a lot to pay and I think there should have been more variety available. Savouries we just had 3 small sandwiches and 2 small wraps . These were ok but nothing exciting. No homemade bread, looked like Hovis sliced bread but I may be wrong. Fillings nothing spectacular - egg mayo, sliced cold ham (not off the bone) with a bit of tomato and a disappointing cheese and pickle . If you want repeat business I think this could all have been enhanced .
Sweets were good, scones and jam lovely. A further assortment of cake etc which was good but not exceptional.
Tea excellent wide assortment.
Good service with waiter checking etc.
Will I be back - probably not - way too expensive. I can get more for £25 round where I live. Ok not a magnificent building but still very pleasant.

Booked this for my daughters 40th, no signage to where to go, we had to ask at reception. Shown to our seats and tea order taken. The waiter was polite and helpful, but sadly, he was alone, so he had to do everything. We were never asked if we were enjoying our meal or if we wanted any refills. We had to try and get his attention when he was around for this. On finishing, we waited 30 minutes for the return of the waiter who had gone to box up our cakes that were left. The receptionist had to go look for him for us as we were ready to leave and pay the bill. It was disappointing with this being a special occasion.

We so enjoyed our experience at Crewe Hall. What can we say, from those that greeted us to the wonderful food everything was perfection. Thank you to one and all for our wonderful and memorable afternoon.

Firstly there was no one to greet us, so sat ourselves down at a table. After about 20 minutes finally a member of staff actually spoke to us and brought us tea. Then waited another half an hr for the food so after an hr of being there finally was able to eat something. Then once again when wanting to pay we waited another 10 minutes as again no staff around. Eventually having ran out of patience went to ask a man at the other reception desk if we could pay which to be fair to him he sorted us out straight away. Won’t be coming back anytime soon.

We had a long wait from arriving to receiving our afternoon platter and I did have to ask if this was ready.
I was asked if we had allergies of which I said no but that I did not like fish.
The platter arrived and there was fish so I asked the waitress and she said she would ask for more sandwiches but again the wait was so long that I had eaten the scones.
The ham sandwich came on its own first then 10 minutes later cheese and cucumber sandwiches.
All in all I was disappointed and it was a special big birthday of m6 husbands.

Tasty afternoon tea, not many sandwiches (3 per person) but I wonder if other items could be included such as a savoury quiche.
Service was great had some nice tea recommendations
