The tea was very good. The website said it was in the Hôtel restaurant but when we got there it had been moved to the bar- which was bland and more like a cafe. Very disappointing since we booked based on the website photos and description. The menu also had not been updated so the items on the menu were different. Our waiter was super nice and accommodating- as far as ambience I would not book this again.

At first they could not find my reservation, then they were not sure if it was possible with the afternoon tea for one, then they said it would take 20 minutes to prepare the food. Most of the food was great and the tea was good, but the scones were hard as stone and impossible to cut or bite through, they were also burnt in the middle. Disappointing, but I didn't let it kill my mood. So overall ok.

The afternoon tea was very disappointing. My mum had bought me a voucher so that I could enjoy afternoon tea with a friend one weekend. Last weekend my friend visited so we booked to have the afternoon tea. I was embarrassed because the sandwiches were dry and the scones were hard. So much so that we struggled to cut them with a knife. It spoilt the whole visit. I won’t want to go there again.

There was nobody else in the dining area so we were the only two there. We were presented with a laminated menu of the afternoon tea which offered Prosecco, cocktail or champagne as an extra but only Prosecco could be provided. Apparently other hotels in the group offer the full selection but not the London one! So we had to settle for Prosecco. The food was very average and nothing special. Having complained to the staff about the whole experience, they were extremely apologetic and compensated us for the lack of choice which was nice but, overall, a very disappointing trip.

As one of us has dietary requirement, we stopped by the hotel during the morning to be sure that they have noticed. As it was a The Fork booking, they didn't have it in their daily list. But they found it and after that the staff was amazing and made sure that my sister will have something for her even if not a real afternoon tea. We really enjoyed the moment (less the scones and the egg sandwich but this is about personal taste) Thank you for this moment

Took a while for us to find as the map said it was a different hotel name. But once we were inside the staff were incredibly helpful. We had a lovely table in the restaurant and no one else was there. The food was very tasty. I cant believe the price was so low for this.

I brought in a group of American college students (some of whom have laundry lists of food allergies) as well as my four small children; the staff handled all our eccentricities smoothly. The food was excellent and the setting very classy; a really iconic high tea experience most of these young people will always remember. Thank you!

Not greeted had to find the restaurant staff ourselves. Rudely told we didn't have a because it wasn't on their system so the chef hadn't prepared anything which was apparently our fault. Asked to prove we had booked Somewhat begrudgingly told the would serve us place virtually empty. Told they would do something special for us this turned out to be removing the cake stand from the table. When asked to pay for service my host refused! After all we didn't get any.
