Was looking for a place for Afternoon tea near the Royal Albert Hall. The Milestone Hotel was great . Everything about the Afternoon Tea was great . Service was excellent and the food absolutely delicious , especially the scones !

5/10This restaurant is interesting and ambitious, but the suggested food was quite limited for the price, besides taking 40 pounds for service without any asking is too much. So, I would not recommend it to anyone. There are other similar options in London

5/10Beautiful hotel and area but the sandwiches and pastries were super disappointing and very very pricey. I should have seen the red flag that we were the only people having afternoon tea I would pass on this for afternoon tea

8/10The ambiance is wonderful and the service friendly, and the tea is delightful. The food however, was mediocre at best. We were with 4 people and one person received the lactose free version. The sandwiches were barely touched, as they were not tasty. The lactose free version had clotted cream that was so salty, it couldn't be used on the scones, and non-lactose free sandwiches were almost as bad, except for the salmon sandwich.

The food was OK, but it was very expensive. The egg salad needed salt. The sweet things were very good, but it was just not worth the money super exactly what she was expect English staff to be however it was over the top.

10/10Excellent place for a quiet small room Afternoon Tea experience. I took my teenage daughter as her first experience and it was absolutely memorable. The hotel staff and especially the service staff were incredibly welcoming, warm, and helped us learn about tea and all of our options. We loved the warm space, quiet atmosphere and traditional fare. We spent at least 2.5 hours soaking up the ambiance and sharing a special mother-daughter moment. We will never forget it and I urge you to consider. It is located near Hyde Park/Kensington Palace and High Street which made it convenient to walk around afterwards to the beautiful neighborhood. While a formal space- you did not have to dress formally. They also provide a handy box for leftovers. The scones were the best I have ever had too! The tea is from the brand PMD and I plan to order their special blend. I totally recommend as a break from all the hustle and bustle of London and a small space to escape and enjoy a true traditional English experience. A highlight of our trip!

5/10The price, £85, is at the upper end of price range, but the food quality is average at best. Cakes and scones from M&S are probably just as good. The tea is tasteless. Dining time was limited to 105 minutes; it was too short to really relax and enjoy.

The waiters are helpful, especially a young lady wrote to me detail names of the sweets so I can explained them one by one in my language to my parents who speak no English. The foods are also good, especially the tea and the sandwiches, the Champagne is just okay, so for those pending on whether to add or not, I think it’s not necessary. Overall a very impressive experience.

10/10A lovely time at the Milestone Hotel and Residences for our first ever English Afternoon Tea. The savory finger sandwiches were flavorful and neatly presented. The petit fours, were very pretty, and presented a wide variety of flavors and textures. The servers were very attentive without being intrusive. They also were very understanding and patient toward our lack of knowledge, and willingness to learn the proper way to enjoy the entire experience. I would highly recommend the Milestone Afternoon Tea to any and all who ask.

10/10To start, the staff were incredibly welcoming. The pace allowed us to savour the entire experience. We paired delicious tea with amazing cakes! We also experienced the champagne Royal Afternoon Tea which complemented the experience and elevated well beyond any expectations we had. Well done to the lovely staff here!

Our first experience for high tea in England and it did not disappoint! The ambiance was lovely, seating was comfortable, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. The staff were friendly, courteous, attentive, and helped to make our time here even more enjoyable. I would, and will, highly recommend to all my friends!

10/10Tea at Milestones was delightful! The service was excellent and the variety of the finger sandwich were all special and unique. The chicken sandwich was my favorite. It was thick with chicken, presented beautifully in a round shape and encrusted in finely chopped nuts. The scones were served warm and the desserts were delicate. We actually brought a box of our desserts home, as we were full. I would highly recommend Milestone’s High Tea

The atmosphere was really nice. The scones were some of the best I’ve had in London. I loved that it wasn’t brimming with tourists, and quiet enough to have a conversation. However, service had some room to improve. For instance, no one was around to refill our tea cups from the pot. We would have done it ourselves but the pots were placed a bit away from us, and it didn’t look like we were supposed to serve ourselves. We had to flag down a waiter THREE times to get our cups refilled. It would also have been nice if they offered to refill the pot with more hot water (as is the norm at most other fancy hotels.) The sandwiches were ok but nothing to write home about. (No seconds were offered. No seconds were offered for scones, either. One person got one scone each of a plain one and one with sultanas. (I still asked and got an extra scone but I felt bad when k found out they literally have to bake them upon order.) The pastries were decent. I think the price is a bit expensive for the whole experience (and I’ve been to at least 10 afternoon teas at major hotels in London.) I might come here again if I wanted to have a quiet conversation with no waiter/ waitress butting in though.

10/10This was a very important and special celebration for myself and a dear friend. Our time at the cosy (yet spacious!) tea room was very memorable. The service was excellent, And the super yummy tea (with one of us gluten-free and beautifully catered for) was exquisite. Returning whenever a time for a special treat is in the diary!

10/10We arrived in London and realized we forgot to plan a tea reservation for our only free day, which was the next day. Horrors. We tried the “big two” popular teas with no luck, and then started using Google maps to try to find anything - never expecting to find something that would be satisfying. The Milestone came up available, and I wasn’t sure it would be special. Boy, was I wrong! The service, teas, experience, sandwiches, sweets, and scones were exceptional. The signature chicken sandwich was to die for. Topping everything off was the joy for me of realizing that The Milestone was a Red Carnation property - as a travel agent I am familiar with these wonderful hotels as well as all of the different companies under the umbrella of The Travel Corporation. I can’t say enough of how wornderful this experience was. A joy. Thank you!

10/10More than a restaurant, it’s an experience, an unforgettable one with a great ambiance and friendly staff. I’ll only add a special detail that will forfeit this standard of Restaurant and it is to substitute the regular pockets of sugar for sugar cubes when safety measures for pandemic allows it. ????????
