10/10Aldis is an excellent addition to restaurants for Ashtead and indeed Surrey. Only Peruvian style around and the food is delicious

10/10Staff very flexible with the menu. I had the three course set meal which was Suberin. The salmon sashimi was very fresh tasting and great to have the crunch of the corn. The main course was a beef stir fry done with sirloin steak(would have like a few more veg and less potatoes) and finally the bitter chocolate cake dessert was pure indulgence. My lunch partner loved her Spanish omelette, saying it was the best she had ever had and was very grateful the chef gave her lemon and sugar on her crepe. Really recommend this local eaterie

10/10I had a BRILLIANT, delicious birthday lunch at Aldo’s with 3 friends. We were most grateful that they were very helpful and accommodating with our various dietary needs, including due to Coeliac Disease and being Vegan. Tracey the server was so kind and very patient - Thank you to you all!

10/10My Ashtead friends and I are so delighted to have discovered such a wonderful, “different” Kitchen/Bar/Restaurant on our doorsteps! It’s exactly what Ashtead needs. I really appreciate the vegan options, especially the fab Vegan Breakfast - Thank you! Very friendly and helpful staff. We are already planning return visits for more of Aldo’s delicious food!

10/10Very different restaurant with its south American - Peruvian/ Japanese food. Extremely well presented and cooked.. The ceviche was a revelation, and my wife found the tiger prawns perfectly spiced. The roasted aubergine was a little delicate in flavour for me, but the Yakitori 'surf and turf' with pork and octopus was excellent., and would be my choice next time. Deserts very good too. All very different which is great. Being Japanese influenced. presentations excellent but portions a little small. I didn't leave the a restaurant 'stuffed' for a change. (is that a good thing?) Will go again.

7.5/10Great concept and place to go. On this visit, service excellent, wine not chilled enough, and my food was a bit bland, I had prawn and pasta dish. Partner had larger and steak, and he was happy with his hence the higher score. And it was a bit cold in there. I want it to do well, and last time I went I gave my feedback directly.

8/10The staff were great and the atmosphere spot on. Second time coming here just to try something else on the menu. Starters have been good, the mains have been lacking. Great presentation but previously had a rubbery steak (elastin), this time a bland fish.

10/10Best kept secret in Ashtead. Small restaurant, giving a cosy and friendly feel. Helpful and friendly staff. Interesting menu consisting of delicious food, including catering for vegetarians. Good wine list. Reasonable price for an enjoyable night out.

10/10Ashtead has waited a long time for a good restaurant. Aldo’s is a small venue but manages to produce a wonderful menu of very different and tasty Peruvian inspired food. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming with Aldo and his wife doing all the hard work. It made for a lovely evening and we will definitely return.

8.5/10I was so impressed by the quality of food. The restaurant has a confident short menu and we tried everything on it from tuna tataki to belly pork. We had starters, mains and desserts with whiskey and throughout the evening. reasonable wine. We would have appreciated more extensive wine selection and slightly more comfortable chairs. The service was good . And I am really thrilled with a good restaurant has arrived in Ashtead.
