3.5/10Overpriced mediocre food that took close to an hour to come out, (I asked what the waiting time on food was and was told around 20 minutes) It was close to 9pm (we were seated at 7:50pm) hen the food finally came out, we were so glad as my kids were so hungry. However it soon turned to shock. £9+ for a small bowl of plain pasta tubes as no sauce bought out, again £9+ for 3 chicken nuggets. Chicken wings were tough and chewy, it was more like school dinner food than the nice meals we were expecting given the price on the menu. The only good thing bought out was the desserts which were pretty decent. No'one about to complain to and was so late in the evening after waiting around for an hour for the food we just gave up and went to our accommodation. We would have ordered takeaway pizzas from the splash landings hotel if we had known how bad it was going to be. You live and learn I suppose.

10/10We had a lovejy breakfast to start our day off, arrived before 9am, lots of choice of for breakfast. As it got busy staff tried their best to support people with filling up with items that had ran out, plus clearing tables. A staff member went out of her to find me when the vegetarians sausages weren’t ready as she thought. She apologised and then found me with fresh veggie sausages. Staff worked very hard to make sure all customers were satisfied, it was hard to please everyone one. Overall a lovely breakfast, very full and happy children.

8/10Staff very friendly. Everything was well stocked up. We got sat the furthest away from the food and it was quite hard to get past all the tables to go back and forth all the time, especially with 2 children. A shame they didnt have a proper coffee machine and no nutella for pancakes! Some granola would have been nice as well to go with the yoghurt and fruit. Would have been 10/10 for these little things.

6/10Arrived for dinner and there was barely anyone in there. No colouring given to us when we had 2 children, we had to go and ask for some when we saw another family had some. We were given one menu to look at. No drinks menu given either so ordered using the QR code. Food came and was presented nicely and tasted nice if a little cold. Drinks still hadn't arrived so I had to go up to the bar and wait for 5 minutes all whilst my dinner was getting colder. They had to take my drinks order again meanwhile my husband was asked if they were ready for our desserts even though we were clearly still eating our mains. Third time I had to go to the bar and get our drinks which were sitting on a tray so I just took them myself. Desserts came but they didn't clear our mains. No one checked at any point to see how our order was etc. even though they had loads of staff on and lots of them just standing waiting around. Basic customer service not there which is not good enough.

4/10Food was the same as any pub grub local nothing special, it was overpriced for what you got. Placing a order was hard work when wanting to upgrade chips or making subs. The biggest gripe is the table space they gave us a 4 and a 5 for 9 people and we had to rearrange the table to actually get in and when it came to the children going toilet even the 8 year old ls could get through the gaps. Overall it's a uncomfortable dining experience to many tables crammed in.

8/10I left a request when i booked online (near a window with a high chair but was sat on a small table in the middle lane of the restaurant right near the door on a cold day. Why ask for requests if they are to be ignored? However, waiting staff were very pleasant and friendly.

4/10Coffee machine wasn’t hot n a cold coffee after a busy day at the park is not acceptable. We booked at 10.15 which was maybe our mistake as the food wasn’t appealing eggs not cooked properly and nothing hot :(

5/10There are so many tables packed in so tight that we actually couldn't get out. I'm pretty sure it must break some fire code and it felt awful. Previous years it hasn't been this packed in. Also no lattes at all just bog standard coffee. Surely for the price we are charged per stay you could afford a actual coffee machine.

9.5/10It's a good quality breakfast, nice setup with plenty of choice. It would be nice to have a couple of fresh coffee machines there instead of the containers but it is a comforting classic British style breakfast and very enjoyable. It's included with the hotel stay so get your reservation in place before you arrive.

10/10We popped into the crooked spook for a drink and a couple of sides of chips in the evening after being in the theme park all day, and had breakfast booked for the following morning. The food was delicious and the staff super friendly! Their was a great selection of items on the breakfast buffet

6.5/10Staff were fantastic and even went the extra mile to give us advice about visiting the park. No Nutella meant the kids were disappointed as they looked forward to chocolate pancakes. Coffee machine was broken. Bacon and sausages were poor quality.

6/10the food has gone downhill from recent years but seen as it came with our stay we weren't going to complain much. alot of a pastries were hard and weren't edible, this were early on as well. If I had to pay for it I wouldn't be happy but some of the staff were nice and friendly however there were others who just didn't seem to vibe

5/10The starters and mains all came out together. The order that came out was incorrect as the chips were missing for the grandchildren and then we had to wait for the chips that spoilt the meal as they should have been part of it.

10/10Cannot complain at all, all food was perfectly cooked and I’m a chef. Perfect choice for anyone staying onsite and eating ( as much as you wish) before you head to the park. I cannot only recommended the breakfast as that’s all we had. 3 morning all cooked the same simple choices for hot breakfast . Bacon, sausages, hash brown, tomatoes, mushrooms, fried egg, scrambled egg, pancakes, also 3 choices for cereal, coco pops, rice crispies, corn flakes, also mixed fruit , water melon or pineapple. Orange juice, apple juice, water all on tap, coffee machine also. Place was clean , staff were always popping by to take finished plates and ask if all was ok. Cannot recommend enough for what it is . We stayed at the lodges was a two minute walk from all . Would recommend going before 8 as not as busy , we booked for 7:30, 7:45, 7:45 great times.

3/10Very dark and loud. Food wasn’t the nicest and very pricey for what we ordered. Was cold, hard and bland also took forever to come. Drinks took a good 20 minutes and I had to ask 4 times for them. We didn’t bother with desserts as the mains were too slow. Waitress didn’t seem like she wanted to be there. Poor evening over all and the manager was nowhere to be seen all evening.

7.5/10Had breakfast there. Asked if we could go in earlier than booking no issue very quiet. Cooked breakfast fine. Limited choice of fruit and yoghurts appeared to all be vegan/vegetarian based using soya. Some normal yoghurts. Only complaint issue with milk two jugs no labelling. When I went back one I used was then marked soya I cannot have soya so resulted in upset stomach for rest of the day. I was asked about allergies but as not an allergy I did not mention it next time I will. Service no issue staff polite and helpful.

5.5/10Ordered via the app as instructed, for some reason they made two beers at the bar but then never made the kids drinks for another 10mins but made other tables and even when they actually out all 5 drinks down the waiter ignored it until I went over and went to get them myself. The food is basic like burger and chips that isn’t really up the price they charge and then at the end another waitress came over with no wires like ‘excuse me have you finished’ and just leant over me to get rid of the plates so they can move you on quickly. I think it would be better to walk over or book the all you can eat in the water park hotel or go off site to somewhere in Alton.
