3.5/10I ordered a white wine. 99.9% sure it was watered down. Food was lackluster. Staff was not very welcoming. They moved us to a different table as we were seated too close to the door (thank you) but did this in a not very hospitable manner. When we asked for the check the waitress did not present the check for us to verify, but instead pushed the wireless payment terminal in front of us without a detailed receipt. Would not recommend this place. I feel like they try to seat too many people for the staff at hand.

8.5/10We were looking for a good meal but a simple evening as we were still adjusting to the local time. Our waitress was very pleasant and the restaurant was pleasantly quiet. The food was fresh and well prepared. The price was very reasonable especially for the quality of the food.

6/10Although owner did not acknowledge our booking, he was welcoming and got us a nice table that was more towards the bar so it was warm and cozy. Service was good overall, but I deducted a couple of stars for reason that despite 12.5% service charge automatically added already, they still suggest you to add another 10% or more on their PDQ a they hand it to you. Food was average, chicken milanese was very dry, luckily being served with spaghetti pomodore added some sauce to it. It's a decent restaurant overall and I would still recommend passing tourists to give it a try. Keep your expectations average.

6/10The pizza was quite good. The ambience was ok. I think that a more dimmed light would be better. The restaurant did not have my reservation when I got there but we were lucky that it was empty. When I spoke to the waitress regarding my reservation she pretended not to understand. When I spoke with the owner I didn’t understand what he said fully but he said something like they were not using TheFork.

10/10The food was amazing…so much so that we ate here three different nights. The staff were friendly, attentive and appreciative. The mushroom and chicken risotto was perfect, and they served the best tiramisu I have ever tasted. You won’t find a better meal in London.

2/10Apparently the reservation didn't work out. Lots of people came and there was no room. We were right by the entrance, the people waiting were right next to us. The waiters were very hectic and unfriendly. The food: Lasagne was sticky, the pizza wasn't as ordered, pasta pesto was OK. If you want to eat something quickly, you can go for it, but it's not good for a cozy evening.

4.5/10The slot for our table was extremely small. There was no room to sit comfortably. We expected an italian restaurant, but there was no italian feeling, the food was only mediocre. Would not visit again.

7/10Arrived on time for our booked reservation. Gave my name but the doorman wasn’t really interested. He herded as to a table and we sat down. We ordered drinks and were almost immediately pounced on for our order. We felt under pressure to give an answer as the waiter stood over us. When our food came it was almost thrown at us. All the time people were being herded in and out like they were on a conveyer belt. It was very noisy and felt totally rushed. There were too many tables crammed in. We were near the door and people were constantly walking past and nudging my friend in the back as there wasn’t much room to squeeze by. All this said, the food was really nice. Not a place for a leisurely meal and a quiet chat

8/10Service was great, they were very attentive. Food arrived quickly and was tasty. Only negative is the lack of space, with tables so close you are literally joining others and no space for the servers to walk in between so your chair is constantly being kicked every time they walk past. So I just didn't feel very relaxed, trying to keep my elbows and feet in and sit as close as possible to the table.

8/10The service was good but I did feel like we were being rushed a bit. I found the ambience a bit sterile. The food was good but not exceptional. My sea bass was just a touch over cooked. So overall I would say it was a an ok dinner.

5/10Very busy at 7.20 pm. A table where I sat with my mum only left a very narrow passage for the waiting staff to squeeze through to serve other tables. Wrong sauce was given for the ribeye steak and when requested to change to the original peppercorn ordered, they simply picked out the mushroom from the pot !! One French fries was on the steak dish when served with roast potatoes and vegetables. Overall, a disappointing meal.

9.5/10Food was very good. Pesto could have used a tad more salt and basil for my liking but the bruschetta, pizza, lasagna, gnocchi, and tiramisu were all great. I would highly recommend Wait staff was extremely attentive It was a very tight fit for a family of 5 at a booth but we’ve come to expect that in European restaurants. Restaurant was on the noisier side, but thankfully we were along the edge, otherwise I’m not sure we could have heard each other.

6.5/10Went here with my friend to grab lunch, restaurant was good and service was nice but I found 2 hairs in my fries told the waiter but they just brushed it off so that was kind of upsetting, but except that everything else was good.

5.5/10The food was good & the waiting staff were friendly & nice. The ambiance felt a bit crowded though. The manager asked us to give a 5 star review. And our waitress asked us to give her an extra tip as the service charge wouldn’t go to the serving staff. This was concerning & uncomfortable.

6/10Booked a table but had to join a queue of others who had booked but didn’t have a table. Booking system clearly not fit for purpose/doesnt actually get looked at. When we finally got a table after a 20 minute wait they didn’t even take our names for the booking. We were served quickly to be fair but I think they wanted us in and out as quickly as possible. Quite noisy and not much room. Every time the waiting staff went past my chair got kicked (roughly once a minute). The starter was quite nice (bruschetta). The pizza was yummy. The desert was mediocre (profiteroles). Overall I would say don’t bother booking if you’re going to go. Avoid busy times. Not great ambience. The food is quite nice and at a fair price.

10/10Excellent service and delicious Italian dinner! My family of five enjoyed our time at Altonapoli. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The pizza was authentic, with a soft crust that melted in my mouth. The pasta tasted so fresh. The homemade Tiramisu was the best I ever tasted! Loved the ambience as well.
