Excellent service and very friendly staff. Great food but music was much too loud for us personally. Loud rock music didn't quite create the relaxing atmosphere we enjoy when eating.

Delicious food and exceptional service. Anilo made us feel like honoured guests. We enjoyed the maze starters, pasta mains and baklava with fresh mint tea to finish. The Turkish wine was also a very pleasant discovery, as was the amaretto digestif. Would highly recommend.

Very lovely kind people with good service but the food was disappointing: Meat and chicken tapas dishes were just strips served with lots of soya sauce, and seafood pasta had uncooked mussels, dry precooked prawns in their shells and virtually no broth, the dish had no seasoning at all.

We went to Anilo's for a pre-theatre dinner. The staff were very welcoming, the food was mostly tasty but what really let it down was the portion sizes. We ordered a selection of tapas, while I appreciate these are small bites, 5 small pcs of calamari and only one Portobello mushroom was really not value for money.

Kindest friendliest service you could find, backed by truly well prepared and delicious food nicely served seamlessly and quickly. It is a small unpretentious restaurant decorated after the Anilo’s love of 20th century music with electric guitars, lamps made from violins and lots of b&w photos of mostly mid century musicians, a bit unexpected in essentially a Turkish bistro, but very pleasant. Some plain outdoor seating on the small triangular “square” in which it is situated at the end of Exmouth Market, doubtless pleasant of the weather is pleasant but the warmth and ambiance is inside. The Muhammara wonderfully spiced, and lamb meatballs fragrantly delicious.

Service was excellent, overall the food was great. There were a couple of small things that were really just attention to detail, esp as the restaurant was nearly empty. My seafood sauté tapa (which had great flavour) had 4 large mussels. 1 broken and one shut. On a small plate this made up a significant portion of the plate and I’d have hoped the chef would have noticed. Cacik and Baba gorgeous. First time in a Turkish I have been served shop brought pitta which I did not eat.
