    thank you for my staff ate lovely but room was little chilly but heaters given . quiet on second night first night was noisy midnight and 4am paramedics knocking a door but not the hotels fault .The hotel staff made me feel wellcome food was lovely. loved the porridge cooked just right and the sea bass was the best.Bed was so comfortable and room.lots of space.I have a shower at home so was lovely to soak in the bath.I think the international.hotel is a top hotel thank you warm.regards

    Score would have been higher but Resturante was cold, they put two small heaters near our table but still cold. Also they missed my wife’s desert & when we asked were told all locked up so she missed out which she was not happy about. Otherwise food was good, well cooked & tasty.

    The seatings were strain and the carpet was not very clean. The service was slow especially with our drinks and the food was a bit too salty. We had the lamb. Would appreciate if the menu had photos of what the dishes looks like to have an idea of what to order.

    Poor service, terrible food and really unhelpful waiters. If this hotel wasn’t close to Eurotunnel, I doubt whether anyone would stay in it! I won’t be returning.

    Disappointed. This hotel used to be special. Now it is being run down with no investment and staff have no concept of service, save a gentleman in the spa who was super. Would not bother staying here again, pay extra and go to Champneys nearby

    Service was really good, the food was really tasty, we loved the rib eye! Sadly it was let down by waiting over 30 minutes for a slice of cheesecake when the restaurant was nearly empty!

    The staff were lovely but poorly trained, service very slow, no water until I asked, offered tomato sauce and brought a totally empty bottle. Ice cream with dessert was just a puddle when it made it to the table. But staff very polite I didn't have the heart to complain.

    Lovely hotel but the restaurant let's it down a little for the evening meal as one of my friends is a vegan and there was nothing available that she could eat without being very spicy. We asked for other options and was offered the lunch time menu as there were more vegan/vegetarian options. Breakfast was good with plenty to choose from and all hot.

    Very lovely food. However the Calamari could of done with a little more as wasn't very much considering the price. But what we ate was nice. Lovely quiet and relaxed feel in the restaurant

    The options in the menu are already quite limited, but what more disappointing is that some of the dishes were not available during our visit. There are obviously not enough staff, which means longer waiting time to be served or attended. And the staff there seems to be very inexperienced.

    Really disappointed. We booked table at 18:30 and order straight away. Lots of main not available, and we waited around 2.5 hours for food arrived. Then we made a complaint. So the manger offer to waived the kids meal. After we asked for our bill, we waited another 40 min then the staff told us they need more time to calculated our bill, so asked we can pay it next day morning when we check out the room. What a joke! We won't go again this place again.

    I came here on a complimentary stay as my last visit was really bad and this visit was just as bad as the 1st of not worse!! Nobody seems trained in what they’re doing, it’s 1000% time for a new chef that has 3 meals sent back 4 times for us to just say don’t worry I’d rather not have food poisoning!!! I will be getting all of my money back from the 1st stay as its obviously no better at all…. The food was absolutely disgusting, staff in groups just standing round the restaurant and a 2 hour wait from walking in to having our mains!!

    Considering we had to pre order our food (table of 6) we had to wait quite some time between courses. Service was slow and food was average at best. Not worth the price listed. Glasses full of water marks. Although, the afternoon tea we had earlier in the day was nice. The evening meal not so good. Few more staff members are required I think.

    This was a very disappointing dining experience. Unfortunately we were told the Kitchen was undergoing construction work and so the restaurant was not in its usual location which was not a problem. It took 10 minutes for someone to come and take our drinks order and a further 15 minutes for someone to take our food order. After waiting 30 minutes from ordering food, our main course was brought out to us - although we had ordered a starter. We were asked if we wanted our starter after our main because this was ready! We sent the main course back and had to wait another 10 minutes for our starter. The starters were not bad at all, the food was hot and tasty. Our main course was then brought out - we had both ordered steak. Firstly, the wrong chips were brought out for both of us so we sent them back and got different ones. Both our peppercorn sauce was stone cold so they got sent back and to top it all off our steak was burnt and tasted of charcoal. By this point we asked to speak to a manager because when a restaurant is charging £35 for a steak, you expect a nice quality steak and cooked to your liking. Needless to say we did not pay for our main courses as we did not eat these and they were unacceptable quality. I don’t know whether it’s due to the kitchen being under construction, but even still, a chef should know how to cook a steak! Personally, I think the hotel is being greedy trying to operate a new full menu as well as a menu in the lounge on a reduced kitchen capacity. There were many other tables complaining yesterday - the time waiting for the food and the quality of the food. We did not even attempt breakfast this morning as we were left thoroughly disappointed and it really ruined our experience at this hotel. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT!

    The food was overpriced and very little choice. There was an awkward atmosphere. I would not have chosen to eat at the restaurant unless I was staying at the hotel. Overall the restaurant was outdated and did not feel clean with stains on the chairs.

    Lovely ambience but let down with poor quality food. Lamb shoulder was a dry tasteless mince of lamb and can get better chips in my local pub. Needs a better manager as took 30 minutes to get two ice creams and even then ran out of chocolate ice cream

    Our evening began with I’m sorry but I’m not sure if we have any chips. The one menu offered was quite pricey as we were told by the receptionist that we would he able to enjoy three courses for our £28 package each. Most mains on the menu were £20 plus so no chance there. The table next to us was offered a different menu with burgers etc. we asked for that menu and were told it was not available to use. We ordered our food. We did not get the water ordered. The young waiter pls do our unopened bottle of red wine on the table and left us to serve it ourselves. The service in the restaurant was really slow. Four young people and no visible manager. We did in fact get chips but they were definitely not triple cooked chips as per the menu. They were frozen oven chips. We saw other customers being served proper chips. We sat and watched the four young staff members chatting behind the bar whilst there were lots of uncleared tables. This went on for quite a while. During the whole meal we never saw a Manager in the restaurant. At the end of our meal we asked to see the Manager. About five minutes later a very frosty looking lady turned up. We explained our experience and complaints and were met with a collection of placating answers. The Duty Manager was not interested in trying to resolve the situation or offer any recompense. She merely glared at us and discounted all our complaints. We will therefore not return to the hotel and would not be able to recommend this restaurant to our friends. Such a shame as this was my partners birthday treat and it was awful.

    I thought the food was very expensive for what it was, the chicken was bland, the salad was from a bag and absolutely tiny and the chips were not “french fries”, they were your typical pub chips. The cheeseboard for dessert was again, overpriced. The service was excellent and the hotel is lovely, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, but I would go out for dinner or order in.

    The staff were absolutely amazing and they really made a special effort to decorate the table for my Nan which was so appreciated. The girl who was coming over frequently was so kind and put birthday music on too. She’s a credit. But the sandwiches sadly were stale as. Which was a shame.

    We stayed as part of a spa package and had the afternoon tea which was fantastic, with some having the light lunch - also great! Staff couldn’t do enough for us! We then had an evening meal which was very good. A great choice on the menu and very reasonably priced. Excellent service too. Would definitely go again.

    They made a real effort, decorating the table for my birthday and my husband's food was delicious and really hot. My chicken was dry and like warm and although the roasted veg was delicious, it was cold. As no one came to check on us I just ate it but the manageress complimented a round of drinks for us. My dessert was delicious though, a very light sticky toffee pudding.

    We stayed for three nights first evening booked table for 7:30 took order by 7:45 we did not get our main course for over an hour, (I did ask the waitress) then we waited for the staff to clear the table and take our order our desert we left the restaurant so late, the evening was gone. Booked again for second night same thing but I had to ask the waitress to clear our table at 9 o’o’clock so we could order our sweet ( I must say she showed in her face a little put out) again left restaurant late. Third night we ask to book for 6:30 as we want to at least have one evening together. That night service was good not too long to wait for food. I will say the Restaurant was not that busy on the nights we were there and for amount of staff . The food is lovely fresh but service really need a shake up, they could take a leaf out of the Breakfast service staff which was faultless.

    The restaurant was disappointing, pork belly had no crackling, dreadful spongy soft rubbery top ???? and my partners seabass with risotto tasted as though was a £2 meal for one from Iceland, watery risotto made with cheap ass long grain white rice , just no.

    The restaurant is run by teenagers. Any questions asked about the menu - the waiter didn’t know. Things we asked for were either brought out wrong or we had to wait until the ice cream was melted before a spoon arrived. And at the end of the meal it took at least 20 mins in an almost empty restaurant to bring the bill. Service was slow and staff need better training and experience on how to run an restaurant. Disappointing to say the least.

    Terrible customer service. Booked afternoon tea online but staff seems to be completely unaware of the booking. Waited an hour for our order even though there was literally one more group of people in the restaurant other than ours. Dirty cutlery, couldn't eat our food. Will never ever go again even if it's free food and wouldn't recommend to anyone.

    We had to ask twice for our wine then a bottle of wine was dumped on our table unopened no ice bucket or apology after 20+minutes. Food was lovely and well presented but service was terrible there wasn’t many people in so that wasn’t the problem. We waited over half a hour for our sweet and gave up in the end leaving with our having it.
