10/10We visited Ashling Park Estate as Thursday night is Steak night and very enjoyable it is. When ordering from the steak night menu you get a complimentary bottle of the estates Pinot Noir, which accompanies the delicious steaks nicely. The service is great and ambience is chilled. Really like this place having discovered it recently for Mother’s Day. This was our second visit with many more to come.

4.5/10We were a party of eight for a Sunday lunch birthday celebration in a lovely venue. Unfortunately there was an incident just prior to our arrival where a gentleman was unwell and was lying on the floor and an ambulance was called. This was obviously difficult for the staff and diners and nobody’s fault. Our problem subsequently was poor communication and service from the young inexperienced staff. Our initial celebration wine order of their own sparkling rose to start with came as a still rose Two of our eight starters were so delayed that we had finished before the last two eventually arrived Our main course was thus delayed while we waited for the two late starters to finish. Again the main courses didn’t come together and two plates arrived that we hadn’t ordered. The Dessert course was again a muddle where the incorrect chocolate fondant was given to the wrong diner who tasted it before realizing it was the incorrect topping of ice cream. It was then removed by a staff member who passed it along to the correct diner although it had been partly eaten. After waiting twenty minutes for a new dessert we gave up and asked for the bill. Apologies were made and the wine was deducted from the bill as a gesture. A great shame as the food was good when it came but the experience was so disappointing for a celebration meal.

Dear Eve, Thank you for your review. Our unwell guest had actually suffered a cardiac arrest in the middle of the restaurant, and two intensive care consultants who were guests commenced CPR and an ambulance called as you arrived. Feedback from the casualty’s wife and the consultants have been universal in their praise for our young team whose swift and professional response contributed to his safe transfer to hospital, where he remains in intensive care. Out of a genuine sense of care we also had to reassure the remaining members of the party of six left behind, as well as a shaken team, as the paramedics worked. This naturally had a knock-on effect on service none of us would have wished for. I regret a complimentary supply of wine provided out of goodwill with the above happening in the background was inadequate compensation for your delayed lunch. Kyle Allen Manager. 01243967702

10/10This was like hidden gem. On arrival you see the stunning gate entrance and as you slowly drive down rhe path and along rhe beautfull vineyard you witness the restuarant and behind here there are adorable lodge cabins . There is plenty to see and do they have a tour package a wine tasting cocktail classes . The lunch menu reads very well not to big and as you see the dishes coming from the kitchen you cant help thinking was that on the menu every dish looked stunning . Sampled some of there own produced wine which can be purchased by the bottle to take away and they are very much worth the tasting. This is a great day out as a group or as a couple. The sevice is fantastic in the resturant very attentive Will becoming back .

5.5/10I ate here when they first opened and thought it was very good. Went back again some months ago for Sunday lunch and it was very average. Gave it another try last week and felt that they are cutting costs with a VERY limited menu although the portion sizes were too large! We chose ice cream for dessert. It came as a ball skidding around on a flat dish. No attempt at any aesthetic appeal! Not nearly as good as it used to be!

Thank you for the review Linda, we regret that you felt our Sunday lunch was average. We usually get very good feedback on our roasts, with regular return customers. On your next booking do let us know directly, and we will ensure you get looked after.

5.5/10Ambiance lacking. Food mediocre. Basically just ok. Service wasn’t great. Our waitress was just an order taker. Risotto was tasteless and the steak very fatty.
