Visited Newcastle for a long weekend. Found this Indian restaurant on Tripadvisor. So glad we settled on this one, the restaurant was beautiful, cosy and lovely decor. Staff (Sam) was amazing and we had a good chat with him (he lived in Glasgow for a few years). We told him we visit Newcastle regularly and would most definitely be back. 10/10.

This is a great addition to the newcastle food scene. Fresh tasty food, served simply but well presented. The breads were particularly good and the whole experience was appropriately priced.

We always come to Ayla when we are visiting Newcastle. The food is delicious and we will select a dish that is not from the classics. We found it funny when we were asked if we wanted chips! Not such a thing down South. Good, friendly service. We will be back.

Found this place on TripAdvisor and booked a table. Lovely staff, nice ambiance and very clean and tidy. We ate from the pre theatre menu, lots of choice but the veggie main was more like an Italian tomato base with veg and paneer. Would have liked to see something with a bit more of a kick in terms of spice. We would go back!

First time in this restaurant. Decor was classy and simple. Restaurant itself was very quiet when we arrived however this was very early on and soon a steady flow of people arrived whilst we were eating. Food was delicious and got the taste buds tingling. Service was friendly and helpful. Pricing what you expect to pay in City centre. Overall a very good and enjoyable dining experience.
