Excellent
Best Thai in Cardiff!
Its the first week of being open after Covid-19, the staff were very welcoming. They took your temperature and took contact details for track and trace. Food and Service were exceptional
The best place to eat Thai food. The staff is friendly and helpfull. I will recomend this place to my friends. I definetely go back over there more often.
Great
Nice people and good service, dishes varied enough for Thai meal.
Once again excellent food and service.
Excellent food and great service.
I’ve visited Bangkok cafe many times and I really enjoy the food there
Great vegan menu. Tasty food
Great food, good atmosphere. I will be back x
Really good, sensible sized portions and attentive but not overbearing service
The food was delicious, richly spiced with a subtle chilli, ginger and garlic flavour throughout. The Dom Yam Gung was particularly wonderful, but there wasn't a dish that didn't suit our needs. The service was efficient, yet unobtrusive. I'll certainly be visiting again.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. I had the massaman curry and it was like being back in Thailand, it was delicious and authentic tasting.
My favourite restaurant in Cardiff. The food is exceptional and authentic. Nice and spicy. Service is fantastic. Consistency of the food and service overall is perfect. No faults with Bangkok Cafe. An absolute gem of a restaurant.
Lovely!
Outstanding experience once again. Efficient service, delivered with a smile. I had the Satay to start and the Pad Thai for main, and they were exquisite.
Lovely staff, quick service. Delicious food. Already planning to go back. 100% recommend
Good food!
Fantastic place
My partner and I went to the Bangkok Café for my birthday meal. With the demise of our favourite – the Thai House – we decided we would stay with the Thai tradition at the café owned by the same family. The less formal style of the Café made the meal very relaxing and the food was delicious. We started with Dom Yam Gung – a delicious and spicy prawn soup with lemon grass and galangal. A lovely warming bowl of deliciousness was a great start to the meal. We then shared three starters – Bor Bia Sot, Bla Muk Tord and Larb Gai – The tamarind flavour of the Bor Bia was wonderful, the crispy calamari of the bla muk tord was perfect with the chilli sauce and the minced chicken came in lovely lettuce leaves making them so easy to eat. All of them were delicious. For mains, my partner went for Bed Grapow, duck with tulsi (thai basil) and chillies with a yellow rice and steamed veg. As with the other elements of the meal the balance of flavours were perfect and the food fresh and crisp. My main course was Gai Yang Som Dam, a roast chicken dish with a sharp and taste som dam salad and sticky rice. I’ve been eating Thai food for thirty years, and I am still surprised by the richness of the flavour. Overall the Bangkok Café turned out to be a tasty experience in a simple setting, we will be back.
