Pretty awful experience sadly. The burrata starter was good but it went downhill from there. Wild boar pasta dish has the smallest amount of sauce and so the pasta clumped together and was very difficult to eat. Risotto was very bland. Food dumped down on the table and no cutlery given. Service is hurried which given its a pre-theatre venue is not a bad thing but dessert menus given before dirty dishes cleared. Bill arrived before dirty dishes cleared also. On leaving venue no staff said goodbye or made eye contact. Souless and won’t be back. We went to restaurant below for dessert and coffee which is actually more like a canteen but the staff there were friendly and the food was better.

I am a fairly regular user and last night was disappointing- turkey dry and starter minimalist to say the least. Clearly there was a heating problem but to install electric bar heaters is dangerous

Too long waiting for main course which eventually arrived not particularly hot. Waiting staff did their best but not well trained. A smile would help and they should not be touching their hair or face . Additional lighting is needed over tables in middle section away from window. Altogether very disappointing. Though it should have been better than Cote !

We felt very hurried and had to ask for a bit of time between starters and main course. Mains were very dry so had to send food back. For the price I expected much better. Won't go back again. Disappointing overall.

We’d booked this restaurant as we were watching a show at the Barbican. The service was unfriendly and slow. The food clearly arrives frozen so all had a strange texture - the burrata was too liquidy and the tuna had a very strange texture. The paloma was tasty, though the unexpected chilli salt on the rim was not. Overall, this place is overpriced for what it is and the food quality of food and service was disappointing. We would dine somewhere less convenient next time we are at the Barbican.

The food was very good and good value but the service was terrible . We asked the first waitress what the main courses were served with and do we need sides and she said “ not much , yeah I would if you know what I mean “ we were offered 3 other diners food to our table then they kept wandering around with food offering it to others . I ordered a cappuccino, waited for 30mins it arrived and I asked for the bill and the cappuccino was not drinkable it was stone cold ! I told the waiter when he brought the card machine over he Just looked at me ?! . The gents toilet was out of service . A shame when the food was so good that the front of house and maintenance let it down , I will not be returning,

Food and service was excellent. Only minor point I observed was having a £1 donation added to my bill without explanation. I was pointed towards a small leaflet on my table informing that this was towards a charity finding work for homeless people. A worthy cause in my opinion but it would have been nice to have had this explained to use before having it added to our bill. I’m certain some patrons are unaware of this.

Lovely meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even the waitress who seemed quite new and whose English wasn't the best. My request for a dairy-free (but not vegan) meal was met with professionalism and both the sea bream starter and pork belly main were delicious. Even the bread was superb. Will be back.
