9.5/10Both the food and the service were excellent. I had the honey glazed pork chop for a main course - it was so tender and very tasty! Moany our waiter was attentive but not pushy - exactly what you want.

10/10Early dinner post a Tigers game and before an event at De Montfort Hall. Friendly, efficient staff and very quick service. We ate from the special valentines menu (fixed price for 2 or 3 courses) which was great value.

9.5/10This was a fantastic quality afternoon tea for a family of meat eaters. The sausage rolls were excellent and tasty. The scones were some of the best we have eaten. Anything we ran out of was replenished. However the vegetarian option was missing and the vegan option disappointing. It could be much better with a little more planning and thought. Over all we had a lovely time sharing a birthday tea and we will recommend the Belmont Hotel to anyone who wants afternoon tea.

9.5/10The service was superb, the waiter was very professional and attentive. The food was delicious. I was an older lady eating alone but did not feel at all awkward- it was a very friendly, relaxed setting. Thank you to one and all.

6.5/10I was entertaining a friend staying at the hotel, and having booked a table on the basis of the full restaurant menu it was disappointing to be told that only the bar menu was available this evening. Since the alternative was wandering into Leicester on a Friday evening to find another place to eat, we decided to choose from the bar menu. The food we ate was at best mediocre. I shall not be in a hurry to return to the Belmont.

8.5/10We had afternoon tea for my friends 50th birthday. The food was lovely. I would just like to say that the waitress who served us was nice but on her own so i had to get up and ask for service. Also we were the only people in the room so it would have been nice to be seated in window with sun shinning. Although I mentioned it to the waitress in the end she said that she would have moved us however we didn't know we would be the only people so we didn't know we could ask!! Just the small details. Other than that we had a great time.

Nice staff, food was ok but those prices are ridiculous!!! Doesn't seem to know what it wants to be style wish... ended up a really weird mix of everything - menu certainly didn't match the setting. Ate as staying in the hotel but won't be back in afraid.

We had an amazing ladies afternoon tea. The range of cakes and sandwiches were beautiful and the staff are helpful and friendly. This is our 2nd time here and would highly recommend it for a relaxing afternoon!

9.5/10The service was excellent, we arrived early but were seated straight away, the food arrived only a short time after ordering and all staff were friendly ad efficient. The fish and chips with pea puree was gorgeous and I really enjoyed it. For dessert the chef even agreed to put chocolate sauce on a sticky toffee pudding for my partner who hates butterscotch sauce! Perhaps the only disappointment was the poor selection of beers, many of which were off. But we love dining here on a Friday night before a Leicester Tigers game and have not had a bad meal yet.

9/10We had a celebratory meal here today for my husbands graduation and being from out of the area we booked here as it was incredibly close to the university of Leicester. The food was really nice and very reasonably priced, the hotel itself is in a beautiful setting with grand rooms and lots of lovely period features. I didn’t take our servers name but “the lady who loves to run on a morning” couldn’t of done enough for us she made it a very pleasant experience and deserved a mention as it was very much appreciated when service is second to none a smile goes a long way!

5.5/10Oh dear, service was good, food was poor. I love a cooked breakfast, I didn't finish my plate, the black pudding was not edible, potatoes out of place and beans not to my taste. I prefer my poached egg running, this one was cooked through. Just felt poor quality food and badly cooked. So much potential at this restaurant and hotel to do better on the food side.

10/10Really friendly staff and excellent food, me and my daughter have dined here many times before and we love it. For my husband it was his first time here and he loved the quality of the food as much as we did. We will definitely be dining here again soon.

5.5/10The ambience is a bit dated, and it is a shame that they could not stretch to table cloths (unless you were having afternoon tea). The menu is short and light, and the service friendly. Nothing particularly distinguishing, in an area devoid of good lunch places if you need to meet after 2pm, which we did. Very close to the station, so has potential yet to be realised

5/10Quality of food was very disappointing. The service was slow but staff pleasant. It was not the celebration event we hoped for which was a shame because the surroundings are very pleasant. Bill reduction given for inedible fish.
