8.5/10Our overall experience was very good, service was excellent. My only criticism was the confirmation of my booking. I booked 2/1/24 in the afternoon & never received confirmation until 8.45 am on the 3/1/24. I tried phoning the hotel several times & couldn’t get anyone to pick up the phone.

9/10The venue was beautiful, it looked stunning. Restaurant was very comfortable, sound level good , table set good, overall ambiance lovely. Service was great, food was good. We had a lovely evening, age range of the group 21-90, everyone enjoyed it.

2/10Booked at 12:00.Two days ago received call confirmed the booking.When arived no body knows about any booking been send from one place to another.Staff send me to golf club bar,and it was terible very noise.Disapointed and angry.

4.5/10Steak wasn't cooked as we asked, peppercornsauce really runny and watery. No yuzu pearls on dessert as stated. No idea why but the waiter wouldn't let us add anything to our room had to pay upfront?

9/10We enjoyed our stay at Belton we had a Soa package with dinner and breakfast included the food was really good the only downside was the limited choice for Vegans as my sister in law found she only had one option for dinner and dessert but unfortunately the waiter then advised that the vegan dessert had been delivered incorrectly and in fact wasn’t Vegan but they had nothing else to offer. The service was excellent though and I enjoyed my meal (not vegan)

8.5/10The restaurant was comfortable and we had a 'booth' for ourselves and family. The staff were very pleasant but service was a bit slow and part of our order never arrived. The menu was somewhat limited in choice and a popular item was 'out of stock'. The food we decided on was well cooked and presented well although the two ladies had seabass and they were both presented slightly differently.

10/10My friend and I decided to have a mixture of starter dishes as a meal. It gave us a taste of lots of different dishes. They were all delicious and very tasty. We felt very comfortable in the restaurant.

4/10Tried not to be put off by negative comments from others. Ordered the fish and chips. 90 long minutes later get what looks like a findus frozen fillet, overdone. Queried with the restaurant manager who admitted that they had run out of fish 20 minutes earlier and that this looked like a fish from their kids menu. An exchange was offered but having waited so long we elected to just have it taken off the bill. How does the kitchen send something like that out?

6.5/10The choices were limited by a group pre-ordering all of the lamb and no extra quantities obtained. The sea bass was served on a bed of spring onions, cooked but not pealed. It was accompanied by a tortellini made with black pasta. Some of the pasta water was allowed to drain onto the plate leaving a visibly unappetising liquid swilling around the un-pealed onions. The pork chop was overcooked and dry. The salad advertised consisted of just lettuce. My wife opted for the side of peas and beans which were undercooked and tasteless. The chocolate fondant dessert was obviously provided from a catering company (Brakes Bros?) and was not liquid in the middle. The restaurant staff were extremely understanding and helpful.

The quality of food nowhere near matched the price tag. Had there been an alternative nearby we would have cancelled the second evening meal and gone elsewhere. I can upload a picture of a £38 Rib-eye steak meal.

8/10Everything about the restaurant and staff was great. The main problem was that we ordered the chateaubriand med rare and it came out med well. For £75 I'd expect better quality control as you could see it wasn't cooked to the specification as the server brought it out. Tasted great, but definitely not worth the £75 price tag if the chef can't get the correct wellness.

5/10Came here for a birthday meal and unfortunately very disappointing. my partner and his mums rump steaks were like a rubber boot, had to ask for a steak knife, that didn’t even cut it! Poor quality fatty steak sadly. Mash potato was like microwave, not fresh. I had Thai curry, was nice, but needed more sauce, bit dry. Had to wait a while for our mains. Unfortunately we gave the steaks back, luckily wasn’t too hungry. A waiter took my partners empty beer glass and didn’t ask as he took it if wanted a refill. However, Henry the manager of the night was absolutely brilliant… he gets 5 stars for dealing with our disappointing evening. Even left Henry some birthday cake, as he was so good! So annoying as this place is now my local ????… would be nice to come here more. We said we won’t go back, but I believe in second chances! Watch this space ..

4.5/10The food was mediocre at best. The chef went to no great effort to plate the food or make it look like we were dining it what was supposed to be 4 star hotel/resort. This goes hand in hand with the overall hotel. Lacking in so many ways. We had multiple waiters come to our table and take drink or food orders, yet we waited for more than 10 minutes for drinks. Cocktails were premixed and terrible, so the only decent option was wine or beer. The menu selection was minimal and pretty basic. We felt rushed to order, and when we had questions about the beef on the menu, the waiter didn't understand what we were asking, told us he would go find someone to answer, and he never returned, nor did anyone else come to answer the question. Being that there weren't many people in the restaurant, it wasn't hard to spot our "vanishing" waiter, which gave us a chuckle more than anything else. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant or this hotel.

6.5/10I ordered the rib Eye steak, was beautiful. My wife on the other hand ordered the Belton burger and it turned up raw. They did offer another burger but by this time the wife wasnt interested.the price of the burger was removed from the bill
