Our second time at this restaurant celebrating a special occasion. Both times the food was lovely, staff are top class and the restaurant itself is spacious and moderately busy. Highly recommend:)

The service was pretty disappointing. A elderly gentleman who took our order was rude and rushing us. We were celebrating my friend’s 40th birthday, so we requested to bring a candle and a cake but request was not fulfilled. On top of that they made us leave right before midnight (without informing us the close time of restaurant). Food was decent. Overall, for the amount of money one pays, the experience is substandard.

We were celebrating exam results as a family with an early dinner and the team at Benares couldn’t have been more accommodating and welcoming. The food was lovely and the manager was attentive; thanks for a terrific evening!

The reservation process was very confusing. I had confirmation but then was cancelled. It was not clear whether you need to submit credit card info or not. We ended up in the wine cellar, because we were "last minute". The room was a bit tired, not fitting for the high end restaurant and the price.

The food was outstanding. Traditional Indian dishes that are very balanced and presented in a beautiful way. My favorites were the lamb chop and the venison. The basmati rice was superb. The service was very good, although at the start slightly rushed.
