We thoroughly enjoyed ‘Afternoon Tea’ at Betty’s - the Imperial Tea room was a lovely location and we loved the atmosphere with the pianist playing softly in the background. The staff were welcoming and looked after us well. The food was dainty and delicious - we enjoyed the little cherry tarts particularly .

Bought for a Christmas gift from my family for my friend and I. We visited on Saturday 10/6, table 2. We were served by Gail who was extremely knowledgeable and passed on all relevant information for an excellent afternoon. The tea was wonderful as was the service. We were given a free book on the history of Betty’s which was a nice surprise. Thank you Gail for your wonderful service and attention to detail. We hope to come again

Really enjoyed our experience at Betty's Tea Shop. All staff were very helpful and welcoming. Food was lovely .We were given a Betty's Tea book as a free gift just as we were leaving which was a really lovely touch.

The place is lovely, the staff are lovely and the food is pretty good, but boy is it expensive, the experience is not worth the money.. over £80 fit tea for 2 absolutely cashing on on the tourist who are told “ you must do Betty’s” we Betty is doing you..

Our waiter was incredible, so helpful and friendly. The setting was just right, including a pianist and the food was amazing. Such a beautiful experience! I would recommend Betty's to everyone. The other restaurants downstairs have wider menus and there is a shop for their baked good and gifts. Just dekightful.

Delightful setting and friendly service. The afternoon tea didn't look all that substantial but in the end we couldn't finish it all and brought some items home in delicate little Betty's boxes. Karen our waitress was really friendly and chatty. Such a lovely experience.

After booking the bookable afternoon tea we skipped the queue in the bitter cold and were shown upstairs to the most beautiful window seat for 3. The service was impeccable from the host who greeted us and showed us to our seat to the lady who served us. Ambiance with the piano made it all the more special. The bathrooms were very special- the only thing missing for me would be a lovely local hand cream to finish off the exquisite experience.

First time at Betty’s for afternoon tea. The room beautiful and loves the piano playing in the background We had a waiter take our order who was very lovely. The downside was he to forget our table and we had to catch the attention of another member of staff to replenish sandwiches and drinks which was disappointing and took time away from the 1 hour 30 minutes you are allocated. But the other lady quickly replenished everything. Mixed experience for me but glad I went and the food Delicious and staff lovely beautiful room

Absolutely wonderful experience for my mothers 80th birthday. All of the staff and especially James made this such a special experience for her. The food was delicious and topped of with a special birthday fondant fancy and happy birthday on the piano. Can't wait to go back for another special day.

Loved the attentiveness of our waiter Jacob he went above and beyond making our experience exceptional. Lovely selection of food for the afternoon tea. Jacob was knowledgeable about his teas and menu and suggested some options for us. Lovely ambiance and setting couldn't of asked for more.

Had afternoon tea with 8 friends in the imperial room, the whole experience was wonderful. The food was delicious, huge choice of teas, staff were amazing very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. 2 of our party didn’t like the sandwich selection but this wasn’t a problem and they were given alternatives. A lovely way to spend the afternoon would definitely recommend.

Very nice atmosphere, piano player was good all staff were polite and attentive without overpowering, Alister brought us our teas and cakes, he was a very nice young man, the teas as expected were nice, the hot chicolate was briliant, sandwiches and cakes were all spot on , there wasnt a crumb left between us, overall it was a lovely sunday afternoon experience, thankyou to all
