Although table booked through fork when we arrived they were not aware of the booking. Although a table was made available 10 minutes later it was not large enough for the number of guests. Drinks took a very long time to arrive. Three out of five guests did not have their first choice as they had run out of the ingredients. Despite the price range taste was not anything special.

The quality of the food was very average, it was what one would expect in a pub. The black pudding starter was crude, poorly presented with coarse leaves and little dressing. The chicken dish was boring, little real flavour with far to many fries, many with potato skins attached and some black and overcooked. The service however was excellent.

The service was excellent. Jen from front desk really helped us when we were late due to the traffic. The food was delicious also. They catered to all the different needs of our party.

Superb Sunday lunch. Roast beef was first class, veg was excellent and plentiful. Staff were all very pleasant and attentive. The only minor downside was that we weren't given any serving spoons for the veg or the horseradish sauce

Bit of a disaster. Didn’t have our booking on the computer. Sat us down and booked us in, were unaware of the fork menu promotion so we were given a la carte. Stayed anyway despite the place being empty. Waitress came and took food order before we had been given drinks menu. Starter came out before we had wine. Starter of parfait was “brioche” with mould on it. Staff claimed the mould was a fibre from from a cloth. I asked for the waitress to bring me the cloth and it was a white dishcloth. The mould was a green spore. When I asked for the bread so it could be independently tested they brought me a different piece of bread. Waiter acknowledged he picked up wrong bit. Manager super anxious and defensive about the whole situation and wanted me off restaurant floor. Mistakes happen but how they handled it was a problem and is concerning. Manager did not want me discussing it with waiter and shut me down at every opportunity. Eat at your peril and best of luck if there’s a problem

Very enjoyable Sunday lunch. My partner had the roast beef which he said was delicious and I had the gnocchi which was also very good. A nice glass of Chianti each and the yummy crumble and custard. The service from the very friendly Scottish lady was excellent. Nice restaurant and setting and the Christmas tree was beautiful!

The good was great, our family enjoyed it very much, including my 13 year old girl. The service was good and the recomendations were accurate. Nice place to celebrate our holiday.
