Very pricey! Sixteen pounds for two scallops! Staff were friendly but service was slow, Quality of cooking is below average

Staff seemed to be having an off night. New menu apparently confused things. Took a while for our order to be taken. I had to remind the waiting staff that I'd like to see the special board. Chateaubriand was ordered but only peppercorn sauce offered. Had to specially request bearnaise sauce. Took a while to arrive. Food was good though. Tart tartin was amazing, trifle was really poor (very bland. Didn't taste of blood orange or rhubarb). The cocktails were exceptional. Really good.
