Service, guy didn’t know chips were not included in steak meal. Oyster were very small and should not have been served

The 3-course Sunday lunch had a little surprise with a French Table of various things to tickle the palate before the mains. I had a bit of things I thought I'd like: shrimp, hot cured salmon, cold grilled vegetables, and a smidgen of their mushroom soup of the day. And pink roast beef and tarte tartine followed. Service was friendly and discreet. The dining area suitably adult. An oasis for civilised conversation on a Sunday.

On a Saturday night I wanted a fuss-free, reliable and enjoyable dining experience. What I got was a superb sommelier Alex and staff who had the polish to know when to check in. I had as a lone diner, the perfect dining experience. They knew their wines, their menu, understood my desired pace and mood. Granted it wasn't chocka, but service standards were high. Recommended.

Lovely night and meal but £15 for 5prawns and£13.50 for 3scallops was extortionate
