4.5/10Beautiful place, bad service, high prices and average food quality. First thing, they communicate us (very fast and just showing us the tablet) that almost 1/3 of the menu was not available... well, ok. We ordered the Beef cheek bourguignon, and for £25 they served a small piece of 90% fat and 10% meat. We told the waitress and she replied: "that is normal, nothing we can do". If they really think that is normal, this restaurant is not a good restaurant, because of course IT'S NOT. The chicken snitzchel was fine, but all the starters were extremely small size for the price (1 slice of salmon for £11?). I guess you pay also for the place, which was nice but completely quiet (empty) on a Saturday at lunch time. I guess people already know this is not the best option in Stratford. My parents don't speak English very well, and even we told the waitress from the first moment, she spoke fast and seemed pissed off by the fact we asked her to repeat some things. I think if the service had been more helpful, the problems would have seemed smaller. But we felt quite uncomfortable and we wouldn't recommend this place.

9.5/10We’ve eaten here twice recently and both times enjoyed it very much. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and very professional. This place is well run and nothing is too much trouble. We live locally and will definitely be back.

6/10The actual food was good. Gorgeous Mussels, delicious Chicken Cassoulet and very tasty starters. The prices were attractive too, for food of this quality. The kitchen staff clearly know what they are doing. They would be heartbroken to hear that all their good work, was undone by one individual. Our celebrations, (20th birthday for my son) were spoiled by the aggressive and abrasive waiter /barman. (I suspect he was Italian , age .. late 30’s ? ) What was the issue? My 20 year old son requested a beer, the waiter wanted to see ID. I don’t have an issue with this (though I suspect the law when eating, is that he needs to be 16 and not 18 (Fortunately my son had his licence) The problem; was the rough, abrasive and challenging way it was demanded ! He basically suggested I was about to participate in a criminal act! We were in a restaurant spending £200 + on a meal. I don’t expect to be spoken to in that way. A little politeness would have been appreciated. Finally, the room was cold. Our coats were not taken , they ended up on the floor. The whole evening we got the feeling that the diners were an inconvenience to the staff. Hard to recommend!

4.5/10Restaurant made us move our booking forward by half an hour to 7pm due to the place being busy at 8pm; so when we turned up and it was nearly empty, we were surprised. We then had to wait an hour to get served and the aforementioned throng had not materialised. Got charged for extra bread we ordered to keep the kids from getting irate during that hour's delay in serving us. The entertainment came from listening to an elderly couple on the tale nearby getting more and more despondent with the quality of the food before they finally unleashed on the waiter.

10/10A gem of a place. Straying away from London you tend not to have any expectations until you come across an abode that has mouton Rothschild and sassicaia in lieu of room numbers. The food was fantastic, simple but with the finesse to savour every bite. Service was fantastic! Worth a trip anytime you are in the area.

10/10We were well looked after from start to finish and all our food food was excellent - all in a really comfortable restaurant. Prices were reasonable for Stratford and the quality of the food in terms of quality, presentation and taste were excellent. Well worth a visit and we will definitely return. Thank you to all concerned.

10/10What a find….. The staff were second to none after entering the hotel to leaving the bar. They were very personable, knowledgable and nothing was too much for them. The menu choices , presentation and quality of food were wonderful. The decor was modern but tasteful. My Negroni to finish our anniversary evening was probably the best I’ve tasted. Would definitely recommend and return soon.

4/10Very disappointing. Booked this for my wife’s birthday for a treat based on an apparent rating of one of the top ten places to eat in Stratford and also based on the menu we checked online. Both favoured menu options were not listed and on enquiry we were told that the website is out of date and those options were not on the new menu. The food we did have was woefully overpriced even by Stratford standards. 3 very small scallops for £15.95 were incredibly average. Steak hache, billed as “posh burger the French way” was tough as boots and tasted bland at best. The real kicker was 2 yes 2 service charges on the bill, one for food and one for drinks! This totalled over 12% of the overall bill of £103 for 2 average meals with one drink each plus practically compulsory still water at £4 a bottle. Sad thing was that the waiter who was very polite and who was trying very hard to chat didn’t get a tip due to the extortionate pricing and built in servos charges, sorry Adam. Will not be returning

2.5/10Shocking service and the food was cold. When the main dishes arrived the sides were delivered 10mins later…once the mains had been eaten as they were going cold.
