10/10What a tasty food we been served by the most friendly professional and caring team at Black Rock Restaurant! Myself and my son we thank you for your hospitality, for your respect and devotional service but most of all for your generous hearts ! 9/10The food was plentiful and very tasty. There was a noisy party in at the same time so we couldn't talk quietly, if we were in a large party, I think it would have been good. Overall, good food and good for largish parties.

9.5/10So please we booked this, probably the best steak I have ever eaten, getting to cook it on the hot stone meant you could always have a hot piece and when you want it, and cooked how you specifically like it, it was quite pricey but worth it, the atmosphere is lively and romantic at the same time, it does get hot down there and this might be our new favourite place to go for steak on special occasions. No complaints with staff just didn't have anything pop out as being extra special. so that's why I don't mark it a 10. Highly recommend and just be careful not to burn your tongue on the garlic butter!!

10/10We eat out very little. The service, ambiance and cleanliness were great. I didn't use the toilets BTW. Friendly helpful staff and the food was great. Second time and again fab. Beautifully presented too. We should've taken pictures. Well done chef 👩🍳👏 My rib eye steak, medium/rare was beautiful. No gristle at all. The presentation was amazing 👏 Thank you for a great meal and great service, made my birthday.

To celebrate an anniversary,my husband may no longer be with us but together as a family we celebrated our anniversary, the staff are quietly understand and seated us at our usual table with a happy anniversary sign, it's those little touches that make all the difference as an individual customer. The food as always is top quality, every dish we had was amazingly tasty, onion rings, halloumi, prawns, mac n cheese to start then salmon on the stone, chicken burger & beef burger & kid, nuggets all devine, thank you to all staff for a great tasty night out!

We were debating between 2 restaurants and so so glad we chose black rock lovely place to eat and the food was amazing . Presentation was great too .Kids ate for free which was a bonus . Overall well worth visiting.

10/10We visited this restaurant on Saturday and was blown away! The food and staff are amazing! I was so full but didn't want to leave the steak I had left as I was enjoying it so much. Would definitely return and would recommend Black Rock to anyone who is by Clacton-On-Sea pier to book.

10/10Really nice staff, thoughtful about my son’s allergies. Doesn’t look great from the outside but don’t let that put you off. Excellent steak and great value. Would definitely recommend.

6/10Staff was a bit slow as I had to ask for water from 3 different waiters Woo woo cocktail was far to sweet and to much cranberry juice Three of us had the grill salmon with it was cooked to long so was dry and the potion size was to big it was dish up with carrots where as it should have been with something green ie broccoli, French beans etc ...xxx

Online menu isn't correct, went in for ribs and they aren't available anymore, so went for a steak skillet. Food was fantastic despite being something I didn't originally fancy.

10/10A friend recommended it to me, he was not wrong.Fantastic service, ordered a bottle of Champagne online, that was on the table when we arrived ( girlfriend was very happy ) The food was excellent, as was the girls serving it x Definitely be going back ???? Thank you Black Rock

9.5/10Kieran and the team are so attentive and welcoming. The food is cooked fresh to order with locally sourced ingredients. My Mum is disabled and she is really cared for getting in and out of the Restaurant.
