9/10All round, a very enjoyable experience. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable & accommodating. The food was to high standard (the dessert was particularly delicious) & well presented. Costs = you get what you pay for but a Menu to satisfy most pockets. Well worth a visit, we may return & soon.

8.5/10Really appealing menu and lovely welcome - a nice-looking room, very quiet this evening but that suited us. Very good starters, original and nicely balanced and delicious. Main courses good tho not quite to same level, and a beautifully presented dessert with a good dram from an extensive wine and spirits-liqueurs list. Our waiter could not have been more helpful and attentive - a really enjoyable evening.

8/10We went here for Valentines Day, both my partner and I enjoy the food and was a lovely restaurant for the evening. The food was great, the best starter of the trip, the main was more than enough and in some cases a little too much bread but overall I would recommend this to friends and family.

7.5/10Food was a mazing. Service was great. Unil a group of 7 came In thats 5 more people over us. Asking if everything was OK. Could of asked us to two of us. Running after what we wanted or needed. Spent a wee fortune in there too.

6.5/10Menu different to the one on the website. Quite a limited menu. Three of the party ordered Arancini for starter which were had a hard odd coating, which I’m pretty sure was paxo golden breadcrumbs, and they were supposed to have a mascarpone sauce, but rather than mascarpone there was just a bit of grated cheese instead. Might have been nice to say there wasn’t any mascarpone available. With the mains, two ordered Salmon which they really enjoyed. Roasted veg as a side were also very good. I ordered Sirloin steak which was quite small, poor quality and not cooked well, particularly considering they have a josper grill. Lacked colour on the outside, the beef tough, slightly over seasoned, and not properly rested. Whisky sauce and fries in addition were good. My father in law ordered the rib eye which came under cooked and once again a poor piece of meat. The steak was replaced with a better steak. Two ordered fillet steak which they said they enjoyed. My partner ordered a cocktail but said it was tasteless and undrinkable. Glass of red wine wasn’t great. The place felt a bit stuffy, the service was friendly and attentive, and they quickly offered to replace the steaks, although I had already conceded to eat mine as I didn’t want to spoil the atmosphere on my mother in laws birthday party. The desert was great. Very mixed bag all around, with some good food, but overall not good enough and wouldn’t return.

6.5/10The staff were friendly and helpful. The menu was ambitious but underseasoned and some combinations such as orange zest in pasta dishes didn't really work. Huge selection of whiskies.

Our diners are often well-travelled, but our dishes are more stay-at-home. We serve local and regional cuisine, making sure to trace the provenance of our food, focusing on fresh, seasonal supplies.
