    Don't be fooled by the nice pictures and the good ratings. We expected kind of a fancier sushi restaurant for a nice night out in London. In fact you end up in a Shisha bar. Or in fact in a back garden with a lot of heaters, TV screens with fires and fake plants. Everyone around is smoking shisha. The food was not bad but not what we expected. We didn't trust to order sushi so we tried the hot dishes. The service was very friendly.

    The food was some of the best Asian food I’ve ever had. It’s in an odd area and there is loud music playing but the service was amazing and the food was even better. Definitely worth with the 50% discount atm

    The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and all of the main dishes were had were delicious and not too spicy, the highlights were the momo and tempura. The desserts were disappointing though, the deep fried ice cream had melted and the batter was bland. the cheesecake was fine but didn't live up to the description, especially considering the price of it.

    Crispy, golden-brown croquette filled with a creamy mixture, presented with a dramatic blue flame.
    A variety of dishes including a clear broth soup with herbs, chargrilled meat garnished with microgreens and vegetables, roasted vegetables, soft steamed buns with savory filling and scallions, and a creamy dessert, showcasing a diverse and flavorful dining experience.

    Service was absolutely awesome. The server/manager went above and beyond. Regularly checking up and very accommodating. Very attentive and respectful as well. The tangy hot and spicy soup was delicious and so was the tofu and mushroom bao buns. The mushroom medley and tofu chili was fantastic as well. The only thing with the food was that it went slightly cold while having the soup so would suggest to stagger the food. The dessert was nice presentation but didn’t live up to the expectations compared to the small plates. The aesthetics were great inside but the location of the restaurant felt very out of place.

    I recently dined at Bonzai and overall had a pleasant experience. The food was well-cooked and arrived on time, the atmosphere was enjoyable, and the service was friendly. However, there were a few details that could be improved. Firstly, there was no host to welcome guests upon arrival. I had to approach a staff member myself and inform them about my reservation, which didn’t feel very organized. Additionally, we weren’t given a physical menu; instead, we were asked to scan a QR code that redirected to WhatsApp. This felt quite odd—why would a restaurant need my phone number just to show me the menu? While the food quality was good, I found the pricing to be on the higher side. Without the 50% discount from The Fork, I wouldn’t consider returning, as the value for money just isn’t there. Bonzai has potential, but a few adjustments could make the experience more seamless and worth the price.

    Place was little and very cozy. Loved the simple decorations and atmosphere. We were so good taken care of. Service was lovely and good. This place is hidden between apartment buildings. I was surprised how fresh was the sushi and all fish. I would recommend to visit at least one time.

    Food is ok, small plates for mains, staff doesn’t know what they are doing, maybe there’s a language barrier hard to say, restaurant located between council buildings, feels dodgy around, most likely you will sit outside, with umbrellas above your head, people can order shishas, so eating and someone smoking next to you not for everyone, feels weird the whole set up, one toilet for male and female, dirty, no soup or paper towels to wipe the hands, would not recommend at all, fork has far more better deals.

    Upon arrival myself and girl friend were greeted warmly. The staff had our table ready. The ambiance was warm and the decor was fun and colourful, it being Valentine’s Day. The food options were vast, my GF being vegan had many choices which is always pleasing. I enjoyed some of the sushi dishes and some others such as the lollipop chicken which was great. Overall I thought I was a great experience.

    Everything we ordered was delicious, price is excellent, we had really lovely, quick, and attentive servers, decor is stunning - my only complaint would be the music isn’t suitable for the ambience of the place at all, something a little calmer would go a long way in making the restaurant feel cosier/more classy.

    Great food presented very well. Lots of flavours. Good extensive menu. The service was slow however had to ask for chopsticks 6 times and they also forgot to provide us with soup spoons and we got them after again 6 times. serve took ages to bring them and layed them down super slowly and then had to go back to get more took ages to provide for our party of 12. Also they forgot to provide soy sauce for the table even when we all got sushi. Take note that we were sat outside tent like area so it can get cold if you not next to a heater. 6 of us were warm on the corner area and the other 6 were freezing. Spoilt their dinner unfortunately. The gyozas are cooked to perfection and the side sauce was a great accompaniment. Music on Saturday was very loud to the point at times I couldn’t hear the person opposite me, this is because it’s part of a bar/club (speakers are directly on above most tables). Also during desert there were water droplets from the ceiling falling randomly on table.

    we were sat outside in the shisha area although booking specifically for dinning in the restaurant. Asked to be moved to inside initially we're told this might not be possible but we were moved to inside after a short while. The food was exceptional really enjoyed everything. only disappointment was the lamb shank curry. this was underwhelming. the sauce was very nice the cook on the lamb shank was tough in parts and very fatty. all in all great venue with brilliant food and drink menu. the location is little little intimidating but it wouldn't put me off coming back again. thanks to Falak and Yash for taking care of us on the evening.

    The ambience was really pretty and the food very nice. Would’ve liked maybe a few more sushi options, however there was a good variety - I just have my go to when I look for sushi. The chicken bao buns were 10/10, I would go back just for them!! Service was good too

    The suimai tasted wierd and the music was a bit loud. The service was friendly but they charged us £8 of service, which is too much. We ordered shrimp wok and shrimp dim sum and that was delicious. The crab was really nice too

    The food was absolutely on point, fresh, flavorful, and just delicious. I had the opportunity to try a wider variety of dishes this time around, and every single bite was perfection. My friend, who joined me for dinner, was equally blown away by the incredible food, the stylish decor, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. What really made this visit special, though, was the outstanding service. The staff were so friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel valued. To my surprise and delight, they even remembered me from my first visit and gave me the warmest welcome back it felt like dining with old friends! If you're looking for a spot with exceptional food, amazing staff, and an atmosphere that leaves you feeling happy and satisfied, Bonzai Tree is the place to be.
