The fish batter was quite hard so I don't think the fish was freshly cooked and the actual fish wasn't that tasty. I think it was pre-cooked and just heated up. It would have been poor value had it not been for the Fork discount.

It was our first time eating at this Brasserie as we saw a promotion on The Fork app (50% off) and decided to book a dinner for my husband's birthday. We stood at the reception for 5 mins and the receptionist handed us over to one of the waitresses to be seated, and we were given food menus but not drinks menus. A few minutes later, another waitress came to take our drinks order but we didn't know what drinks were available, so she quickly reached out for the wine menu and we had to pick something out at short notice. 5-10 mins after we've been seated another couple arrived, we noticed that they ordered a similar thing (burgers) however their food arrived before ours. The burgers we had were good, nothing spectacular but I'd say it was good value for money. Our waitress was friendly and helpful as she remembered that we had 50% off so I didn't have to mention it when the bill came out. We left a tip on top of the service charge already included in the bill. Overall we had a pleasant experience and the food was good however I think the service could be improved as the waitresses seemed a bit disorganised to begin with.

The setting was pleasant and the service was decent, however the quality of the food left quite a lot to be desired. The steak was not quality meat (full of chewy tendons), the grilled sea bass was poached/boiled not grilled, and the beef of the burger was overdone and dry. Also sauces provided were in sachets like from fast food restaurants, not something that should be served in a 4* hotel. The value for money for the food was low and overall underwhelming and disappointing.

Beautiful venue and location, stunning views - and the tree of all trees!! Driving up the sweeping drive we expected a stunning experience. Certainly the dining room was grand, and only disappointed with the choice of music which didn't reflect the surroundings at all. The lady serving was lovely and very attentive, but menu was short and basically burgers of all design. As a Coeliac I could only have the rib eye steak (the most expensive meal on the menu) which was perfectly edible (apart from the tomato which had a peculiar taste) but not as special as the venue.

Friendly staff. Unfortunately, we were disappointed the with the quality of the food. The sautéed king prawn starter and crispy squid starter were frozen not fresh, as were the chips that came with the Ribeye steak. Two Ribeye steaks £52 - I don’t expect anything cooked from frozen at that price.

Although we used The Fork to book, staff still wanted room number etc. before finding a table for us. The receptionist knew who we were but the system seemed to break down between front desk and restaurant. Food was good and service by Lynne was very good. The chicken katsu was a little dry and could have done with a little more sauce but really nice tasting.

This was our first time here. We certainly enjoyed the meal, as the food was good quality and the menu was varied. A few veggie options for me - I enjoyed the unique vegan salad with pickled cucumber and added fried halloumi. The beef bourguignon was tasty but only came with half a carrot and half a parsnip (and mash). Fruit crumble for dessert was tasty though microwaved so the crumble was not crumbly. We were pleased that there was free parking on site and the venue was impressive. Whilst the serving staff were lovely, it was the service that let them down here. Glasses and cutlery were watermarked, the table had salt over it and some of the chairs were dirty. Also, our drinks order was incorrect - I only realised at the end that my non-alcoholic gin was actually alcoholic. Luckily I just had the one. I’d recommend investing a bit more in training, so that staff can feel a bit more in control of the tables and more confident in the menu. We would go back, but would like to see a bit more ‘polish’.

Disappointing, the Grange could do with a makeover, felt very 1980’s, atmosphere was cold. The staff were friendly but service was below average considering the prices and compared to similar type places, paper napkins, menus left on the table etc. Menu had a good selection but starter was dry and over cooked. In summary overpriced for what you get, would compare with a Harvester or similar and get a better atmosphere, wouldn’t go again.
