7.5/10Staff were lovely but we were disappointed to be placed on a small table in the restaurant instead of comfortable chairs in the main lounge. But the sandwiches, scones and cakes were very nice.

2/10Prior to booking I tried calling multiple times with no answer. I left a message and sent an email neither of which were replied to. On arrival, we had to tell the pre-occupied bar staff we were there. They then proceeded to say our table had not been set up, only to find after 2 attempts to sit us elsewhere, that it had. The food was average, with the price only including 1 very small scone each, which seemed store bought. There was no offer to clear our cluttered table or to top up tea & coffee. There was also no cutlery other than tea spoons. Seating was just in the bar area, so felt very casual & not what I was expecting at all. I would have given zero if I could - HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED

5.5/10When we booked for Valentines we were told the room/table would be decorated....nothing. For my mains I ordered a steak with fries onion rings and peppercorn sauce. The steak arrived with no peppercorn sauce and the onion rings arrived 10 mins later.My wife ordered chichen stroganoff which was supposed to come with Garlic Bread.Guess what no Garlic Bread arrived.We called over the Manager who give his due was most apologetic and offered to free desserts which we did have. Overall not a great experience and what hesitate on booking the main restaurant again.

6.5/10The food was nice when it came. Our booking was for 7.15 and we just ordered a main course. It arrived about 8.00 on a cold plate. There was a pepper pot on the table but no salt. So I asked for one but when it came it was blocked so I had to ask for another. The staff were helpful but one got the impression of rather sloppy management.

8.5/10I thought that I had booked a table for four for lunch in Squires Restaurant, only to be told on arrival that only a bar menu was available. The bar was quite noisy and being elderly my party were having difficulties hearing, the duty manageress noticed this and opened the restaurant and we had lunch there: most peaceful. This was most kind of her and the staff involved and is an excellent example of taking care of the customers. Well done and thank you for making our meal a pleasant experience and the the sandwiches were excellent.

6.5/10DIDNOT HAVE CHOSEN MENU OPTION. SECOND CHOICE PASTRY TOP SOGGY ,CONTENTS HAD LITTLE TASTE . ACCOMPANIED VEGETABLESTOO SALTYAND OILY.ONE OF THE DESSERT OPTION WAS VERY STODGY/ RUBBERY AND CUSTARD VERY WATERY AND TASTELESS. DINED THERE MANY TIMES BEFORE, WORST PUDDING EVER HAD.CULINARY STANDARDS NOT UP TO USAUL SPECK,SUCH A SHAME.

3.5/10The natchos were awful, obviously been sat there a while before brought out as cheese had dried and the natchos were one big solid lump stuck together. The steak had garlic butter lump on it which never melted as the steak was lukewarm warm and we were never approached by waiting staff to ask how our meal was and we had to call them to order drinks. Not the best meal and will not return.

6/10The taste of the food was reasonably ok. However presentation could have been better. Wait time very long - 45 mins for sandwiches although it didn’t appear to be too busy. Upon arrival although booked in advance we were told they don’t take bookings as were about to ring us even though we had confirmation email of booking. When we went to place order I stood at bar for several minutes without being acknowledged even though there were 3 staff members present. However, 2nd visit to the bar was better. Staff didn’t know soup of the day and took some time to find this out. When food arrived no offer of sauces or asking if food was ok whilst eating. We remained there over an hour after eating and nobody came to collect plates. On departing we noticed many tables were also vacated but had dirty plates on them which was surprising given it wasn’t that busy. Although the food was average it was somewhat overpriced given the quality.

5.5/10Unfortunately there was a coach tour eating at the same time. We waited over an hour to get our food and the food was very average. Luckily, our food was part of a package. Would have really disappointed if we had had to pay for it.

6/10We reserved a table for 5 adults for Sunday carvery. When we arrived we were shown to a table for 4 and the waiter said he would add another small table to the end, but there wasn't one available so he just added another place setting at the end of the table. When we were shown to our table we walked passed a free round table for 6 but were not seated there, and then moments later they sat a party of 3 on the same table for 6. Doesn't make any sense at all. Some of the chairs had totally lost their support and some were also badly stained. The starters and the desserts were very good. The turkey and gammon were good, but my nephew asked for beef and was in fact served lamb which I know should be served pink, but it was totally raw and inedible. There was also no main course vegetarian option which I find difficult to understand in 2024. The roast potatoes and yorkshire puddings were good. The cauliflower cheese, roasted parsnips and swede were rock hard and also inedible. We have had carvery at The Bridgewood Manor in the past about 12 year ago and it was exceptional, but this time it was very disappointing and we won't be returning there again.

10/10We all thoroughly enjoyed the food. Myself & my mum are vegetarian & I had the Mediterranean vegetable burger which was lovely & my mum said the tuna was very tasty & wanted to thank the chef as it was the best tuna steak she’s had. The staff were lovely and we all had a very enjoyable afternoon. Will definitely be back.

3/10We had lunch, which was really nice. We had also booked for the evening meal for 19:30. We arrived at about 19:20 and ordered drinks, which came pretty quickly we also ordered our food. After a 40-minute wait, I was told there was no lobster to go with my surf and turf, but I could have salmon and prawns instead . I agreed as time was getting on, and we were hungry. Another half hour later, our food came up. I was so disappointed. The prawns were terribly overcooked, as was the salmon. My husband had ordered steak, which was cold. So, no dinner for us. We ended up going in the bar. About 20 minutes later, the manager came in the bar and said the chef had cooked another steak anyway, and if my husband would like it, no offer to me. ☹️we ended up having a bag of crisps and a muffin.. We will be finding somewhere to eat tonight.

8.5/10Lovely Food and nice staff, at a good price for the Sunday Carvery. Recommend. The only issue I would say is the service for drinks was very slow. I had to go and ask a staff member and then still waited for a long while. Also noone asked if we wanted any more either.

10/10Very lovely location with very attentive, friendly staff. Food was excellent throughout with delicious soups, great fish selection starters, main curse of 4 different tender carveries with fantastic roasted potatoes, different veggies and Yorkshire pudding, all sort of condiments and lot of tasty gravy. The dessert buffet was outstanding with its real chocolate tart and cheesecake next to a cheese platter with unusual cheeses and as well all sorts of fruits. We will definitely come soon again.

9/10I think what is missing is maybe table clothes for an evening meal . The chairs could do with a freshen up as looking alittle dated . However the service and the food was absolutely fantastic. We last visited the venue for our wedding 23 years ago and really enjoyed going back for dinner . Absolutely top quality and we will definitely be back !

2/10When I made this booking I was under the impression that me and my friend whose birthday the booking was made with full intention of celebrating this would take place in a restaurant However on arrival I was asked to go through to the Squires where I was advised lunch would be in the bar unless I had booked Afternoon Tea which I definitely hadn’t and I had confirmed when asked that it was a lib h booking not an Afternoon Tea and today I was advised there was no restaurant until 6pm Feel extremely let down as does my friend whose birthday it was and we at short notice managed to find somewhere else to go but Bridgewood Manor you have let me down massively and seriously upset my friend too I’m demanding al full apology and explanation and to know what you are going to do to convince me to come back because right now mr and my friend are devastated and very angry too not how you should treat customers if you want to keep them coming back I await your response

5.5/10Very disappointed, had to change menu to a traditional Christmas menu, costing more, The noise was unbearable as there was a wake in the same area. I wanted to treat my very good friend to afternoon tea , as she has had a bad year, it was so noisy, we couldn’t even hear ourselves speak. Totally disappointed Mrs C Harrell

7/10Staff friendly food which was afternoon tea pleasant and had enjoyable afternoon as not disturbed. Christmas decorations lovely and festive. What let it down were worn furnishings in fact some chairs showing filling and bare wood. This let down experience enormously. Glad not staying as would be put off.
