The food was quite good service was excellent, but the restaurant was so cold. We had to keep our coats on.

Great good, service and ambience. However feel that toilets need a makeover. Was clean bit a bit tatty decorated. Just needs a bit of TLC

Nicely decorated restaurant friendly waiting staff. Food was disappointing scallop starter not very flavourful and fish pie contained one scallop and one prawn the rest was salmon so more of a salmon pie

I really enjoyed it, the food was incredible, I haven't eaten at Brown's for about 3 Years, but it was worth it, I'll definitely come again later this year, thank you very much! ???? ???? ????

I took my wife to Bath Christmas Market for her birthday. We agreed we would go somewhere nice for lunch. We are both on a fixed income being pensioners, and we saw they had a lunch menu @£18.95 each. Reasonable for lunch and upscale enough for us to consider it a bit special. Booked my table for yesterday at 12.30. With the online booking, they ask you to confirm the menu you want and they then confirm. I could not complete the booking without picking a menu and chose the lunch one. Turned up to be told that the lunch menu was no longer available but replaced by a Festive Menu at £33 each. This was despite the restaurant sending an email 6 hours previously confirming the menu I had chosen. We could have afforded to eat off the festive or main menu but were disinclined because we consider this to be very sharp practice and, if we wanted to pay nearly £80 for lunch with drinks, we would have gone somewhere better. Why give the option of the menu when booking, confirming that it was available 6 hours prior to the visit and then make it unavailable? They knew we were coming on that day. Very disappointed in our treatment

Lovely restaurant. Service essentially was really good, as was the food. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening, our first out out as husband and wife! Many thanks

I was looking forward to eating here but was disappointed from the beginning, I had booked a table for 2 around 3 weeks before the actual date and was very surprised that we were offered a table sitting almost in the entrance way, I expect this if I were a walk-in . I had the chicken kebab with pickled vegetables to start, the chicken was very dry and the vegetables tasted like they were pickled in water, no taste at all. Main course was a mediocre pork belly. I can’t say how my guest meal was as the outing was a gift from me she was too polite to make a comment, will I be returning no.

Had a lovely time with friends at Browns in Bath. The food was really good but our experience was made by the friendliest and most helpful waitress, Yee Lin. Would go back just to see her!

Food was meh at best. Was expecting food that I wouldn’t think I could cook myself at home, felt like something they’d picked up as a meal deal at Tesco.

We chose the restaurant for convenience of access and also because I'd been before and enjoyed it then. Greeting and staff were good, nice and efficient. Food itself was not great :-( One of us had the Shepherds Pie and Lamb rack, which apparently was tasty but the portion was tiny! I had the Prawn & crab linguini and it was so spicy and so full of garlic that I could barely eat it and had not joyous taste of anything but burnt garlic! Shame! It actually made me feel very unwell to the point of sickness. Please taste your food before you serve it to the general public

When we arrived for our 3 30 booking, we were informed "no roast dinners left! " So we went somewhere else and enjoyed a lovely one.

Food and service good, however my experience was somewhat spoilt by the 4 drunk , loud over -60’s at a nearby table, having some sort of domestic and swearing repeatedly. One couple asked to move their table so staff aware - should have warned them to keep it down

Service and food were exceptional. Food portions were generous and service was attentive without being intrusive. We were not rushed even though our lunch booking slipped on into the afternoon tea session. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

The restaurant was very busy so service was slow. Afternoon tea although presented well, was disappointing and not worth the money paid. It would have been nice to have more of a selection of savouries
