On arrival I started to be concerned as the host wasn’t anywhere to be seen and a group ahead of us clearly had been waiting some time. However, the host eventually arrived and confirmed our reservation and offered an apology for tardiness. Guided us to a very pleasant table. As with many hospitality venues at present staffing levels are challenging as such the section we had been seated in only had one waiter looking after about 18’covers with more arrivals adding to that number. But, the waiter was as polite as could be. Efficient and offered his own apologies for the delay in taking our order. That said our drinks, snacks and then main meal arrived and were served without any other delays and the food was cooked to a very high standard. We had already made a future reservation to meet some friends. And as we had not tried we took the opportunity to try in advance; hence our rationale for visiting yesterday. We Look forward to our next visit and hopefully some of the minor irritations will have been ironed out.

Very disappointed with quality of prawns in prawn cocktail, they honestly were the smallest , cheapest , tasteless prawns you could buy and not what should be served for the price we paid. Also the side salad served with the steak was pitiful, basically a couple of leaves of lettuce with a few watercress on top . The main of rack of lamb with couscous was actually very good which proves this restaurant can get it right with some tweaks to some of their dishes and the use of better quality produce.

The food and service was excellent. The waitress was extremely good but she needs to be a little sensitive on how she speaks to customers. I think it's a generation thing but after every sentence she calls everyone guys no matter what age you are. I noticed there were people possibly in their eighties also being spoken to in this way . I just think it's not very appropriate. Other than that we had great food and service.

Food was amazing, the service was great. The atmosphere wasn't fabulous, hardly anyone in there, but it was a Wednesday night after a bank holiday, so not surprising. Will definitely be going back. ALSO, my cod was sooooo delicious and the presentation was so pretty. All the food was faultless. Thank you!

Poor availability of items marred the meal, didn’t have the soft drink asked for or the dessert, left feeling disappointed and unlikely to return.
