8/10Very friendly front of house service was very good . Starters came out 15 minutes after order was placed which was good . Starters cleared instantly our mains arrived both a little cold and we thought must have been ready some time ! Though this happened food was good steak was excellent We then had desert and cocktails again very good

7/10The fork offered £18.95 for a 3 course meal but browns wouldn’t apply this it was £19.95 it’s only £1 but it just differs from what we purchased - hope they don’t get a real Karen who is going to complain big time

8/10Well it was our first time in browns Brighton and the level of service could have been better. The person looking after our table didn’t seem that interested in us or what we ordered. After being told that my chose had sold out and asked if I wanted to wait an hour for the item. I was not given the menu back. I was told what I was going to have

10/10I haven't been to Browns for a long time and a friend recommended their afternoon tea. It was great, lovely food, really good service and nice ambience. Would definitely recommend.

9/10The was ok but the place needs some TLC a few hours with a handyman the tables are all chipped looks Little tatty in a lot of place, once you go to use the loo the stairs down needs a good clean & Hoover the toils do not smell very nice lots of damp On another note the waiter was lovely

6/10I’m a not an overly picky steak eater, but had to leave 1/3 of mine as it was uncuttable and inedible. I actually wished I had ordered it well done, a mortal sin to even contemplate. Housewine a disappointment. Overall well below par for the price. I think we will give it a miss in the future. Nice ambience.

10/10We visited on Saturday. Great food and drinks. staff were lovely. Everything was impeccable and prompt. I don't usually order fish but it was absolutely delicious. As was the steak and both starters. Very happy.

10/10Browns brasserie didn’t disappoint as usual, good food palatable to my family as well! Not too salty :-) and mayonnaise for the fish and chips was amazing!

10/10We were a party of 8, all our food was excellent and our waitress (unfortunately can’t remember her name) was really really good. Not often we find a restaurant we all think was that good.

8/10Visited Saturday afternoon and was very busy. Dinner was really good. I had the beef and Guinness pie which was great. The only let down was the dessert. I had the Eaton Mess which was with passion fruit and mango. Unfortunately I could hardly taste the passion fruit and the mango was tasteless which made a very bland dessert. It definitely needs more passion fruit!

6/10The Staff were very attentive, The fact the restaurant has a good reputation ,I was disappointed that they had no Duck pate . I had Roast belly of pork for my main the presentation was good and the plate was hot. Unfortunately the pork was dry and a bit tough , it was not roast potatoes they were boiled, the veg was nice and colourful .The food was not hot it was warm as though it had been prepared on the plate and heated up. This was a special anniversary and for the cost it was disappointing. Had all these things been as it should have been it would have been a nice meal.

9.5/10Outstanding service and quality of food. Lovely atmosphere as well although a bit dark for lunch. I would love to go back in the evening.. we celebrated my husbands birthday, and it was a very good mixed aged crowed. Will def go back.

6.5/10I waiter was excellent. I think the restaurant has a very nice interior design and the cocktails were very good. We were very disappointed to be told halfway through our starters that the maincourse was now prepared and being kept warm, given that the restaurant did not seem full and we were a later sitting. Both main courses were disappointing. Fish pie was very watery and the large scallop in the pie had absolutely no flavour. The linguine had dried out, the sauce had very little flavour (mostly provided by the slice of lime on top). We would not go back.
