5.5/10There was some problem with the kitchen so only a limited menu was available. The food that was available was ok - but not great. The service was good and efficient. There was a man playing the piano who was ok - but v loud if you were sitting too close. All in all - a bit average.

5/103 starters came at once the 4th was over 10 minutes later, the main meal the kids chips were cold the wait from when they collected the starter plates to the main meals was over 30 minutes not acceptable the place wasn’t very busy at all

9/10I come here with my partner and little boy for my father's birthday and had a most pleasant experience! The staff were amazing and the atmosphere was really warming! The food was good but nothing special, a little over priced for what come out, however the service made up for that! Overall a great place, we would return.

3/10First off, the restaurant didn’t accept the £20 off offer from TheFork - and said they didn’t know anything about TheFork and weren’t aware of any tie-up between it and their establishment at all. So they didn’t honour the offer. Second, they had run out of many things on the menu (they had been very busy over Christmas and New Year, they said - and hadn’t got round to re-stocking). So there was very little choice of dishes. As they’re not at all cheap (having put their prices up substantially recently), we just had a main course and a drink and left.

5/10Browns - as always - promises good food and a lovely restaurant. I ordered the crab and prawn linguine - should have been delicious - it tasted OK. But overnight was extremely sick and had to get up numerous time to go to the loo! Wasn't going to make a fuss but would urge Browns to check storage / cooking of seafood. And have since been BOMBARDED with requests for review - so have given one. Might go back to Browns but will definitely NOT ordered anything fishy!!! Very disappointing.

9/10Browns, Cambridge is in the lovely old historical Addenbrooke's Hospital building with a very grand entrance and outside terrace - opposite The Fitzwilliam Museum. I visited with friends and the food and staff were very good - I had the Scallops to start and the Prawn abd Crab Linguine for Mains - it was all very nice and well presented and I will revisit and would recommend.

6.5/10Slightly disappointing. Food was indifferent this time. Looked good but did not taste as it should. I had much better meals at Browns Cambridge and certain they can do better. Hopefully this was just a one off.

7.5/10Welcoming and friendly staff - our waitress was excellent.My belly pork - part of the Sunday Roast was a little overcooked so rather dry and th3 two Creme Brulee, whilst delicious, were sparsely sugared so lacked colour in topping.

6/10It was utterly freezing inside the restaurant which spoilt the whole experience. Eating with a coat on doesn’t do it for us. All patrons were sat one side of the restaurant and our table was overlooked by patrons above us on a platform which was extremely overbearing. We asked to move to a vacant table against the side wall and the waiter told us it would take 10 minutes to clear the table ready for us and meantime refused to take our order until we were sat at the new table! Bizarre! The restaurant should have warned us via telephone ahead of time that the heating was so poor instead of announcing it on arrival. Do not visit until the weather heats up! Birthday lunch was a disappointing experience.

3/10The lights and soft furnishings were dirty & dusty. We arrived & they didn’t have our booking. The staff were not quick with their service & not attentive. I’m afraid the chicken schnitzel did not taste very good at all. No heating at all in the restaurant. Very cold.

8.5/10The festive menu was somewhat truncated - which was a shame. My colleague thought his starter was cold: I had no complaints - although I was initially offered another persons main course in error. The staff were and service good and atmosphere was excellent. Wine by the glass was excellent although - as is now the case everywhere - disproportionately expensive. There was no hassling to get us to leave - which was much appreciated.

8/10Very smart and good. Disappointing no fishcakes left on sweet lunch given early lunch booking. And amount of smoked salmon on starter rather mean. Mainly toasts. Very good apart from that. Nice terrace.

6.5/10Poor selection on the menu. Partner ordered a rare steak, it came more on the well done side. He did make a comment to the the waitress but said he would eat it as he didn’t want to wait for another as the rest of us had our meals. They did deduct it from the bill which we felt was fair as it wasn’t what was ordered. Overall an average meal.

6/10Unfortunately the dish my partner ordered wasn't available 'due to the bank holiday'. My dish didn't come as I ordered it, and the waitress confesses she hadn't registered what I'd asked for and so hadn't passed the order onto the kitchen. Apart from those 2 negatives, everything else about the visit was very pleasant

6/10We booked for afternoon tea only to be told on arrival that they had no notification that we had booked for afternoon tea on our reservation. They were rude and made us feel as if we had made a mistake telling us that the booking made through afternoontea.co.uk was nothing to do with the restaurant. The waitress was rude and abrupt. A very disappointing start. Ordering drinks was confusing and we were told we couldn’t have the tea until the end of the food serving. Very odd. The food was however very nice. Someone needs to take responsibility for the online administrative cock up that this caused.
