We came up to Glasgow for the day and my husband booked the meal for us online It was our first time in Browns and we really enjoyed it, lovely staff, beautiful food and fabulous surroundings We will be definitely come back Thankyou

Pleasant enough atmosphere but the food was rather mediocre. The staff were friendly and helpful. I wouldn’t hurry back as I think Glasgow has better to offer.

Good food and service. Problem is, I was due a £20 Fork discount due my accumulated points, but the restaurant had no clue how the app works, or how to give me a discount so I paid full price. Come on.... sort this out please.

Be aware that the fixed price set menu is not available at the weekend despite being available to book on the fork. When I advised staff that I had booked the set menu was just told that it wasn't on, it was a la carte or nothing. I would have booked elsewhere had I known we would be paying around £8 each for starters, £18 plus for not particularly generous mains and around £8 for deserts. Cheapest wine was £23 so not great value, plenty of other options in Glasgow if you're looking for a better deal.

We arrived and they didn’t have our booking and needed to see evidence of it! Terribly noisy and understaffed to the point at which our bottle of wine didn’t arrive until after our meal was finished! Waiter tried his hardest but they were obviously in disarray. Food was ok but not as special as the price warranted.

Lovely meal in a lovely setting. Service was top notch. Service charge included on bill, I do hope this goes to the staff, would be good to see visibility of where the service charge goes. Enjoyable meal and will return.

Excellent visit …. We felt very welcome from the moment we stepped through the door. We had plenty of time to consult the menu and settle at our table. We were offered water before ordering wine. Most unusual but most welcome. My friend had travelled from Inverness for the day and we spent a wonderful afternoon in the restaurant.

My wife and I have eaten in Brown's a good few times and not had cause to complain,however there were four of us last night celebrating our son's birthday. We had our starters which were fine then our mains my meal was fine but my wife and son had to send theirs back as the fries were cold also my son's burger was cold the waitress asked if they wanted the full meal redone my wife said no and my son said yes both meals came back very quickly with new fries but the same main dish my son did not send his back again and continued eating it my daughters fries were also cold but did not complain, Not the usual service we have had previously in Brown's Also we were given a table on the raised area chairs not comfortable

We have dined here before but this was easily the worst visit. The salt and pepper squid was served in a very plain batter. No salt or pepper. Server’s reaction was a shrug. The main course of pork belly was a very small portion of cool fatty pork with crackling that was too hard to break never mind chew. The red wine jus tasted of bovril and in no way complimented the dish. The Apple crumble was molten hot, something I was not made aware of till my top lip was burned. The bill was presented with a 10% service charge added. I had it removed. The others who dined with me had better experiences in some cases and shared mine for the greater part. I will not return to this restaurant.

Out for a long awaited lunch with my daughter and had lovely food. However the whole experience was spoiled by a member of the waiting staff putting our bill on the table saying they were tight for tables and hoped we didn’t mind - we had only been at our table for one hour and fifteen minutes. We were about to order another after lunch cocktail but felt unwelcome so paid the bill and left ????. Won’t be back.

Only negative is that they hand you the bill with 10% service charge added, think this is bit naughty as it's your decision if you want to pay this. Puts customer in awkward position if they don't want to tip. Personally I always tip my server direct as some resteraunts hold back a percentage. So Browns stop this practice.
