5.5/10We had to wait ages for the dessert menu after our main course even though it wasn't busy. The rhubarb and apple crumble was awful.

9/10Been to Browns many times, mainly for lunch, and never had a bad meal. Menu choice, and quality, both always very good with plenty to tempt.

9/10The food was delicious, service great, a lovely evening. It was such a shame that our booking, which I had had both text and email reminders about, was not on the restaurant system for some reason. A good job they weren't busy and could accommodate us- what would have happened otherwise?? Rather took the edge off the evening- sadly.

8/10Browns had never heard of Fork and was not aware of any offers. The offer that was advertised on Fork would have only saved you £1 if it could have been used.

5/10Very bland food which was disappointing. Crowded and noisy as the restaurant was full. When people began to leave, pipe music came on to keep the noise level up.

Lovely food, great service and atmosphere was amazing. I went for the Sunday Roast and the beef was cooked to perfection. Loved the trio of desserts too! Topped off with an excellent performer singing, playing guitar and piano. Staff were lovely and friendly!

9.5/10Was very busy but the food was excellent, great service and made my partner feel very special with an extra birthday treat at dessert. The piano player was also a nice touch. The general decor and ambience was lovely but a little noisy.

6/10I was very disappointed with the manager of brown's when we arrived they took us to our table and it was for my daughter's birthday but I then they said that we couldn't have our booked offer as it's not on Saturday so I showed him the booking on there website said Monday to Saturday it wrong he said and that's it there is nothing I can do its wrong on the website I said that's not my fault your website is given out false information I found the whole experience disappointing.

10/10never had a poor dish or shabby service. Browns is a firm family favourite for most occasions! We all love it from my 75 year old mother to my 17 year old daughter.

The food was excellent and so was the wine and cocktails unfortunately it seems the restaurant wasn’t prepared for our booking. We were told to wait for our table as the table wasn’t ready then when we finally got taken to our table we waited 25mins for someone to come and take our drinks orders. Overall the waiting was quiet a lot between drinks and food. Staff was friendly but seemed quiet stress and flustered.

9/10This comes up as a 9/10 review, but consider it 5 stars, not for the food, indeed, the steaks were sadly overcooked (no doubt because it was both the hottest day ever in the UK and very busy at the same time), but how the staff dealt with the problem - they were nothing short of exceptional and while I don't know the Manager's name, I'm calling out the way she and her team worked and it deserves praise. Overall the food was a 4 out of 5, prices are not cheap, but not dear, a good balance and we will certainly go back next time we're in town - wholeheartedly recommended.

10/10This was our first visit since lockdown in 2020 and it didn't disappoint. We used to go quite regularly and we were pleased to see that the food, service and general feel of the restaurant was just as good as we remember it to be. We will definitely be returning as often as we can.

10/10Really excellent. Food was superb. Drinks were sublime. Staff were super friendly and helpful, accommodated meeting my guests in the bar, going for dinner and relocating back again. 100% would recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic and memorable day or evening out in Nottingham.
