6.5/10We have been to this restaurant 5 times now and never had any issues previously. It was my partner’s birthday so we couldn’t avoid the second day of the Valentine’s weekend, unfortunately. Food has always been excellent and 4/5 times we have had the steak sampler… Last night however, the kitchen could not keep up and we were left waiting almost 90 minutes for our mains after having been seated, and having a starter about 45 minutes earlier. 2 of the 4 sampler steaks were sent out cold, as well as our mash side. Our waitress Rachel took it back to the kitchen, apologising profusely and said it would be taken off the bill. The next sampler sent out was a much smaller selection of steaks, more well done than we had ordered, and again, steaks were cold. I had called ahead regarding a birthday treat (as we have had celebratory pudding sent out in the past when no dessert chosen) but alas, nothing offered. If we hadn’t been before, we would not return again. Hopefully this was a one off!

2/10Food took over an hour to arrive. Fillet steak stone cold and then the second attempt was delivered blue. Restaurant was freezing cold because of draft every time door opened.

8/10Seemed a little disorganized, different waiters tending to us throughout and it did not feel like they worked together so they were doubling up asking the same questions etc. Overall though very nice evening.

5.5/10We visited as a party of two couples on a Friday evening. Although we had already looked at the menu online so knew what to expect, we thought the quantity of food on the £78 sharing platter with two sides was not good value for money. The cuts and quality of the steak were not great and the small basket of fries and the handful of leaves with a diced tomato was pathetic as a side salad. That said, the churros I had for dessert were delicious. Sadly, will not be revisiting.

Very warm welcome, polite and knowledgeable staff. Food was amazing, we went for the sharing steak sampler, rare. It did not disappoint, I’ve. I’ve decided it’s my new favourite restaurant. Service was attentive.

5/10We waited over an hour for our starters, and then a further 45minutes before we received our mains. The steak was under cooked, and the sauce was more of a dressing (far too runny for peppercorn sauce). No offer of refill of drinks we had to ask, and was a real terrible experience considering I’d had many good meal there. Only one waitress took the time to apologise, and do her best to accommodate and chase the food up! No management came to apologise but was quick enough to come over when we wanted to pay!

10/10I had visited once before and had raved about the steak. I was worried when I got there with a group of friends if I had over hyped it but it lived up to the reputation and the food was fantastic. They all agreed it was the best steak they had ever had. To top it all off our server, Patty, was excellent. She was attentive without being over the top. She was pleasant to talk to and extremely helpful.

10/10Excellent ,friendly service throughout the evening with delicious food. The quality of the steak was first class. We have just returned from Buenos Aires and I didn’t expect the quality of the steak there to be equalled this evening but I was wrong. Great Malbec too! It’s not cheap BUT it is quality so you get what you pay for.
