9.5/10You take a big step back in time once you enter the beautiful grill room. Large mirrors reflect lights all around and enhance the opulent Versailles like golden decor, beautiful painted ceilings. Lovely piano playing softly in the background, wonderful staff that excels in fulfilling wishes you never knew you mustered, excellent food and teas presented on exquisite porcelaine. An afternoon tea that exceeds your expectations. A once in a lifetime experience!

10/10Wonderful experience. It was "so British" , the environment was superb, the service excellent and the tea so good. It is somewhat expensive but the experience is so unique, I recommand it.

10/10Afternoon tea at Cafe Royal was an experience. It was wonderful. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the building history and of all of the teas, sandwiches, scones, and cakes. I will go back again on our next trip to London. 5 star hotel and experience.

This was an absolutely amazing afternoon tea! It was our first time and it came highly recommended. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about all the different teas and offered recommendations according to our taste. Food and dessert was delicious. Would highly recommended.

9/10It was an enjoyable afternoon and the service was great. Our server wanted to make things right and bought my friend a pot of tea like mine because she liked mine better. I expected a better selection of sandwiches for the price.

10/10Attentive and welcoming staff who couldn’t do enough for us. They gave detailed and interesting information about the food and various teas. There was no sense of being rushed or of having a “time limit” on how long we stayed - even after we’d finished our tea and paid!

This was THE ultimate English tea experience. I imagined it being wonderful and it far surpassed my expectations. The service was impeccable, the quality of food and tea delectable, and ambiance magnificent.

10/10Everyone there are so so nice !!! My friend need to leave halfway to pickup a new TV and they’re super accommodating! They also prepared a little surprise cause it’s my friends’ birthday. Amazing ambiance and wonderful people!!

9.5/10We three ladies had a birthday treat. The table was near the entrance/exit so we had to ask to move. It was just next one, slightly disappointing. The reception, cloakroom, waiter were all friendly and attentive. A surprise birthday tune and little cake, a nice touch. Famous decor, historical atmosphere, tasty food and selection of teas. I prefer smaller cut sandwiches and Lapsan Souchon Chinese black tea will be nicer. A lovely experience. Definitely worth, better than others, and will visit again.

10/10Joseph and Showmo provided a fantastic afternoon tea experience. They went above and beyond to ensure my husband and I were safe with our food allergies (and I know how inconvenient this is). They never made us feel like a burden, and they made my husband feel so special when they remembered his birthday :) They answered all of our questions seamlessly, and always with a smile and such enthusiasm. They truly seem to enjoy what they do! When we return to London, this is one place we will come back to!

9.5/10This place is a gem! Very lovely! The service was outstanding and took food allergies into high consideration. The only thing we disliked was how low the chairs/tables are. It’s silly, but for tallish people, it was difficult ????

We were very impressed by the standard of the service we received. We were able to change the teas during the time we were there. We were offered extra sandwiches and the food was presented beautifully. We will definitely come again.

7/10Loved the Oscar Wilde lounge, very attentive staff, egg sandwich was tasteless and the beef was a bit chewy, the two others were delicious. I was offered another smoked salmon.

10/10Although expensive, the experience was awesome. The setting was opulent, the staff were amazing. The tea I had (the first pot) was the Oscar Wilde blend which was blue and then you add some lemon, stir and watch the tea turn purple. The sandwiches were lovely as were the second serving! For a special treat this is a 100% recommendation

10/10I went with my husband to our anniversary. They were very welcoming and attentice. The quality of the cakes and the sandwitches was exquisite. The teas are pretty good. we tried 3 kinds of teas, and all were awesome. Lots of attention to detail.. The staff are so nice, welcoming, and answered all our questions.

10/10If you want afternoon tea for an occasion or if you just want a great afternoon tea, this is it. Glitz, pianist, perfect service. The food and the teas ( I had three pots) are tasty and traditionally presented. If you want some more, just ask. Really relaxed for a get together. Loved it.

9.5/10Surprised my friend here for her hen party. The interior was gorgeous with the live pianist. The waiters were really wonderful and the attention to detail with them recommending what teas to go with which course and the positioning of the plates etc was at such a high standard, it was definitely worth going there (15% service charge so expected no less!) . The only down side was there was a really long wait between the 1st and the 2nd course ( sandwiches and pastries/ scones), which delayed us for our next event and had to rush. Overall the experience was really good and I would recommend going there for a special occasion.

10/10Luigi was the perfect host for this utterly stunning experience! He was attentive without being obsequious and incredibly knowledgable about everything from the champagne to the wonderful teas, exquisite sandwiches and the delicious and beautifully presented cakes and fancies. The room itself is beautiful, ornate and terribly glamorous, but still feels comfortable and not stuffy, we felt very relaxed. Loved every minute of it and did not feel rushed. We will definitely return!
