+2I went to Namaste with my sister on New year's eve for dinner for the 75£ 6 courses dinner. All the courses were very good and were very high quality indian dishes. The drinks were also very good: we had an Italian sparkling wine and a mango lassi. The restaurant was more of a family run restaurant type and all the staff was very welcoming and warm. Overall I think the dinner was very good value for money, and I would like to come back to try the regular menu too.

The restaurant is a beautiful location. However the interior does nothing for the ambience it is very sparse, not at all classy, and the chairs and tables should be more elegant and comfortable. The Food was the most disappointing part of the experience. There was a lack of flavour and seasoning in dishes that we ate. The perswahi bread was burnt and dry had not coconut flavour. I couldn’t eat it! The paneer in a white sauce with peas was foul and tasteless! I did enjoy the little popadoms with the chutneys, the rice was ok and finally the dessert was the best part of the meal. Service was very basic. The whole concept needs a reboot and this is no way Michelin standard !!!!! I would highly not recommend this restaurant. It was a disappointment

The food was lovely, the ambience was delightful, the waiters was amazing and friendly and the overall experience was magical and very budget friendly!!!! Highly recommended!!!!!!!

Fantastic food and the setting is incredible. Staff are all knowledgable and friendly. Great, relaxed atmosphere. Cannot fault it in any way. Just wish we lived in Gallions Reach!

10/10Cafe Spice Namaste was a great find for me and my partner. I liked all the dishes but particularly enjoyed the peppered beef tikka and the Baigan Bhurta (aubergine). The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Will definitely be back!

10/10The food is delicious, it’s a very different experience to other Indian restaurants. The service is excellent and the location is great with stunning views of the river and Canary Wharf. The only issue could be parking.

10/10Wonderful neighbourhood restaurant - the menu is fusion, incredibly vegetarian and vegan friendly whilst also having plenty of meat and fish options, and the cocktails are brilliant. Love the ambiance and the staff are beyond lovely - it feels like a family place, where customers are always treated like old friends. Could not recommend the place highly enough. The views and the area are also stunning

9/102nd time going to this restaurant. There are a number of really good dishes: ROAST CHICKEN CAFREAL ZAMBEZIANA being a must in my opinion. I would suggest a couple of dishes needing slight improvement as someone who would still be planning to revisit. All other dishes I have tried have been top tier. (1) SHANK OF LAMB PARSEE STYLE - This tastes like spaghetti bolognese, the tomatoe flavour is very deep and overpowering. When I reheated the leftovers the day after the flavour was much better and balanced but in restaurant didn't hit the mark. (2) MASALA ROAST CHICKEN IN CASHEW NUT SAUCE WITH RICE - The overall flavour of this dish is a too subtle unfortunately tasting quite plain. Understand this is supposed to be the case with such a dish yet I do feel it is a little too light on flavour. I would recommend this to any east London local it really is a great restaurant and will be one I look to bring any guests to with the lovely ambience.

+7A lovely location and very welcoming team. On arrival, we were welcomed with smiles and they knew our booking and were aware we were celebrating an anniversary. We had a lovely chat with Pervin, where she was happy to recommend dishes and explain the menu. The food was delicious and presented beautifully

8/10An interesting location. I’m glad I made the trek out here. The restaurant is lovely. Overall the food was good and the sauces were delicious. However it was disappointing the lamb in the dhaansaak was a tough. I did go at lunchtime so perhaps it hadn’t cooked long enough.

We are surprised to read that the lamb was tough in the dhansak as we served many more portions today and find it difficult to understand what could have gone wrong with your take away. the Lamb we use in our dhansak is Welsh Organic . Glad to hear you enjoyed all the other flavours and dishes you took away.

The restaurant was alright and I did have to search the criteria’s for how Michelin stars are given. In all the restaurant wasn’t impressive and they allowed us book past 9:30pm on the Fork app without notifying that the kitchen closes at 9pm. The restaurant owner explained that she needed to rush us as the kitchen was closing soon but had no intentions of calling us in advance to inform us of the situation. The service was rushed and the food was nothing to rave about.

Dear customer Thank you for your very incorrect comments and sorry if you felt rushed. When u called in the phone to let us know you were running late I kindly informed u that the kitchen closes at 9.45 . Our kitchen does not close at 9pm(incorrect) Secondly inspite of that you arrived at 9.40 and all i requested was for you to order quickly .You ordered the shank of lamb which takes 20 minutes , inspite of that you were served . I was also kind enough to ask you where you had parked and gave you a permit so that you do not get a ticket. You did not like it that I requested you to please order as soon as possible, explaining our staff lived far away. After all this to write such poor comments is in bad taste . You had two of our most popular dishes so maybe you were upset at not being pampered as expected. And thus decided to write this review. 9.5/10It is worth going the extra mile to this restaurant. Although it’s now a bit out of the way in docklands, near City airport, the food is definitely worth the trip. Fabulous Parsi food - served in small plates to share. We had duck, the tenderest lamb chops we’d ever eaten, makhani (black) dhal, and lots of other delicacies. Service is extraordinarily good - you feel very well looked after by the two owners who welcomed us and came to chat.
