6/10Had to wait a little longer than normal to be seated as staff were chatting and didn’t see us. The waiter was lovely, but probably could have been overstretched. Calamari starter was good, but the fish/batter from the fish & chips was greasy, not nice and crisp. The restaurant lacks atmosphere, but ok for a hotel restaurant for a quick lunch.

5.5/10Service was a shambles. Drinks order taken when sat but took 15 minutes to arrive after chasing and going to bar. Really badly managed with manager sending them all over so none of them had allocated tables. Set menu and dessert order taken at start but this was missed so long wait and had to chase several times as they clearly didn’t split main and dessert orders when taken to kitchen.. No excuse as lots of staff for number of diners but no structure of managing evident

9/10Really pleasant surroundings at the side of the hotel lobby. Food good but not great, far too salty. Sauce on Chicken Saltimbocca was only average.

5.5/10Arrivesd at a pleasant, quiet restaurant. Nice welcome, then ordered a drink (Tia Maria) had to rest it 3 times and then never saw her again. Another 15 mins waiter comes over for food we give order and ask about our drinks .. he said they weren’t ordered as she didn’t understand. Got drinks then ordered one more without mixer - she bought so we said we didn’t need it, she said ‘I’ve put it through now😳 so I asked her to take it off. She said she didn’t know how so put it on the table . I asked her to take it away and ask her manager to remove it . As predicted when the bill arrived it was still there. We ordered 2 pasta with chicken had 3 drinks and it was £90 which I thought was really expensive. And then £8 per hour to park - expensive hour!!!

4.5/10Expensive meal. Service didn’t seem to know the difference with allergens - nuts and peanuts. Peanuts are a legume - bit worrying .

4.5/10They have started charging guests to the restaurant £10 to park in the hotel, previously this charge was not there if dining. On top of this a 12.5 % service charge is added. A lot of money for what it is. Next time will go the the high street Carluccios.

4.5/10No check backs for food. Mains were delivered without removing empty dishes from our starters. Attempted to order a further drink however as the staff never came back to check on our food this was not possible. Starter was very tasty and the cocktail (Amaretto sour) was well made however the carbonara was cold, watery, and tasteless.

6/10The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived- 430pm. Despite this we had to keep going to the bar to order our drinks as service was poor. Just couldn't get any of the waiters attention , but as most people probably do - we had a plane to catch! The food was good though.

8/10I met some friends for breakfast and cannot fault the food. It was very enjoyable. We were not staying at the Marriott but were very surprised to find that though we had made a table booking and chosen to eat there, free parking was not an option and we had to pay ! This is very surprising as I have never paid at the other hotels along that stretch..... for this reason I will not be visiting again

5.5/10Service was poor. Long time to wait for just okay food. Plates put on table and then we were ignored. Had to find someone so I could pay. I refused to pay added 12.75% service charge as there was no service.

3/10We were there on time, no one came to see us to ask us for a drink until 7.30. We had to call someone over to order starters and main. Our food was watery and too buttery. We did want to dessert but didn’t want to after our meals were terrible. Wouldn’t go there again!

10/10When we arrived it was quiet as only 15.30 but we still got a warm welcome. The staff were so lovely, nothing was too much trouble. We had a fabulous meal. My duck was delicious. I would definitely recommend and return.

8.5/10You know what, for a hotel restaurant this was pretty darned good. Our server Kartik was friendly and knowledgeable And sauces that accompanied our fish and pasta, dishes were authentic and enjoyable. Sure beats the standard Marriott burger…

7.5/10Not sure if we arrived at shift change over or not but we didn't get offered a drink for over 20 mins and only got one as I called a waiter over. One of our starters was wrong but the food when arrived was hot and as expected.

10/10We came for a light dinner. Our server, Standa, was exceptional. Great service and so very nice. She brought us a small dish of delicious Kalamata olives. We started with an excellent Insalata Mista, lovely and fresh with a nice vinaigrette dressing. I had spaghetti carbonara, beautifully done with perfect Al dente pasta and excellent sauce. My sweetie had spinach ravioli in pesto, also yummy. Thanks for a great meal, and thank you Standa for your kindness and exceptional service.

7/10The restaurant service and ambiance was amazing! However the food was way too salty! We ordered some calamari for starters and found that too salty but were excited for mains. Me and my friend had order the same dish, a pasta with fried spinach balls. Previously I had come to the restaurant and loved this dish but this time it was way too salty. I thought it was only me because my friend found hers alright. But when we switched and tasted each others she agreed mine had way too much salt and wasn’t edible! Upon speaking to the waitress she said it’s all cooked in the same pan, which didn’t make much sense as to why mine was saltier, however she was very kind to bring me a new dish which wasn’t as salty. Still too much though and recommend a cut down as some customers have cholesterol issues.

2/10Very disappointing - sterile environment, over salted, unpleasant food, unfriendly, pushy service. What happened to carluccios of by gone years. Huge let down. And what has happened to the arancini - now tiny and tasteless??

4/10We have eaten here many times and the food is slowly going downhill. It used to be a restaurant but is now a higher end cafe. The calamari were just ok, the risotto was half the size it used to be with less variety of mushrooms and and I had exactly 4 little strips of chicken, paid for as an extra. The chicken milanaise looked and tasted like a shop bought frozen piece of chicken with a few breadcrumbs added. The potatoes were far too browned. I have had better onion rings from M&S, ours were like they had been shop bought from a cheap wholesaler 5 on the plate for £5.00 and soggy. If I can cook a dish better at home there is no point eating out. Car parking is now charged at £5.00, used to be free. Very disappointed.
