9/10Lovely meal as usual. Risotto was perfect. Restaurant was very busy as it was Easter Friday, but we managed to get a table. Fortunate because the booking and confirmation with Fork hadn't got through. Manager said this happens with Fork a lot. Will use Open Table in future.

10/10This place is nicely situated with views of the Solent and offers consistently great food and service. The tuna dish I had was superb. Pudding is always chocolate bread and butter pudding at Carluccio’s , it simply can’t be beaten.

8/10Busy Sunday evening at GunWharf Quays, no fine dining in GunWharf quays so Carluccios is about the best. Food average, but you really couldn’t fault the manager who was working his nuts off, having been let down by other staff members. He kept his sense of humour and professionalism despite a difficult service.

5.5/10this note is for you, thefork, to read, as there is no section to add any note i n your feedback overall template. A general comment and suggestion from my side: it would be good for you to test and taste for yourself before including a restaurant in your list. A minimum requirement for "italian" recipes preparation would be at least the tomato sauce to be cooked, as this is the very basis and pillars of italian cuisine. This restaurant, as so many others in the UK, alleged to be "italian", are simply not even cooking properly the tomato sauce....how can any dish be edible then at all ? tks rgds

9/10We were shown to a window table on arrival. The staff were all helpful and quick to help with any questions we had. The food arrived promptly and was hot. They also had decaf tea that so many other restaurants don't stock.

4/10The staff were non existent. After arriving we waited half an hour until I had to ask to order a drink. The drinks then took another 15mins to arrive. The food was average. Very disappointed as it was a beautiful setting being able to sit outside.

8/10The restaurant did not have a record of the booking despite being shown the email confirmation. The 'greeter' was totally uninterested and devoid of any personality. We were left for 15 minutes before being asked if we would like a drink. It was only the service provided by our waiter that saved the day as we were very close to getting up and walking out. On one occasion a member of our party had to collect our drinks that had been left on the bar counter. Overall, not the best dining experience.

2/10Sadly this meal was a big disappointment. Last visit had been exemplary in every sense. This time everything was of a poor standard. The restaurant was under staffed and so service was very slow. We waited one hour for the main courses. When they arrived they were cold as if they had been standing around a while. The quality of the food was poor too in comparison to a previous meal four months ago. What a shame.

10/10My friend and I enjoyed a delicious lunch at Carluccios in Gunwharf. We were very well looked after by friendly waiter Bruno. Everything was perfect - and we will be back again soon hopefully.

3/10After eventually being able to book a table thro you as the maitre d refused to take a phone booking- we got to the restaurant and had to wait 20 minutes for anyone to come to our table-I chose to have the set menu- the caponata siciliano starter was ok but the bread it was on was burnt to a crisp and the crusts were like rubber- obviously microwaved- the pink minute steak was like shoe leather stone cold as were the potatoes-the pan a cotta was devoid of any fresh raspberries. Very disappointed as I love carluccios and have been a regular for a long time but the whole experience was very poor and I will be looking for a new Italian restaurant near me

4.5/10Terrible service. Lifeless and slow. Waited over 45mins to be asked if we were ready to order. It wasn’t particularly full. The food was extremely average. For being on the coast, the seafood linguine was meagre; the saltimbocca was disappointing as was the minute steak. The best was the Arancini. Wouldn’t return.

10/10First time back after 18 months where we would normally attend every three weeks or so. On a hot early evening we had a great table inside but next to the open doors/windows. Food was fresh and although the menu offer was not as fully varied in choice, the traditional ones were there - we loved our Penne Giardiniara. Will be back in two weeks with our 20% food discount!!
