Great service and excellent food. The only comment I have on the food is that my pasta were slightly over cooked and not al dente as I would have expected in an Italian restaurant. Secondly, the atmosphere could be much nicer if the lights were a little dimmed.

Venue, service , drinks at the bar and the staff were all superb befitting the venue. However we were disappointed about the quality of the food. We ordered the Sunday roast and were expecting high quality food, however the taste and presentation were lacking. Flavour was poor and the lamb was fatty. The meal seemed to be thrown on the plate. Worse than any pub It is such a wonderful building and attentive staff, but sorely let down by the food.

As the only diners in the restaurant that day, the atmosphere was lacking, and the food was only average, my seabass was bland and over cooked. The hotel and settings are beautiful.

Service is lovely, very attentive. Menu was limited as it was Sunday, my Bolognese was fine but a little lacking in flavour, and I'd have expected higher quality for £28. I had a lovely glass of red wine, and enjoyed the complementary bread. Later in the night the room was taken over by cigar smoke from the bar nearby, which was a shame.

Quality of the ingredients was very good. Presentation was terrible. Fish came with a floppy skin which was unpleasant and when I asked for it to be rectified the waiter tried to talk me out of it which led to an awkward exchange that tainted the experience .The Hotel otherwise was fabulous.

The hotel is beautiful but the afternoon tea is poor for the money. Cakes dry, only three small pieces per person and jam etc in very small amounts had to asking for more. Originally made us in the walkway in the room which wax cold. I would not recommend the afternoon tea should have asked for my money back!

The restaurant was almost empty but they sat us directly next to the two other dining groups which was odd. There was no background music and the lighting was too bright. The starters were clearly pre made well in advance and had been sitting in a fridge for a while. The lamb was fast too overcooked and dry. The wine list was out of date, and was Listing older wines than they were producing. Also the winery for the Burgundy Pinot want even the same winery in the menu. It took almost 30 mins to even get the incorrect choice offered by which time I gave up and just bought it despite it having a 4x mark-up.

We had a birthday celebration for five of us girls and the whole experience was excellent . The food was delicious the service great and the ambience perfect - it was quieter than we expected but it was Monday lunch time ! We loved the hotel and it’s surroundings and can’t wait to go back - we would most certainly recommend it

I attended for my birthday evening meal and the service along with food was magnificent. The only thing that was missing was a little background music however I was informed by staff the next day that there was a technical fault that prevented this from occurring. The menu offered plenty of variety and the food down to the vegetables were cooked to perfection. I thank your for a great birthday celebration.

The grounds were immaculate as we approached the hotel. The interior was exquisite, staff were polite, helpful and kind. We were treated like royalty. Food was beautiful- we will be coming back.
