Our server was quiet nice and welcoming. Ambiance was wonderful, decor is quiet nice. However, they definitely need to improve the food quality. From starters to the main course it was poorly seasoned food.

9/10We went for a team dinner and fully enjoyed the food. There are so many options of starters to select from and flavour of everything was so good from psv bhaji fondue to matka kulfi.

5/10Terrible from the begining - table was extreanly sticky asked to move bust to realise they all were stickly and was asked to keep the paper menu under the plate. Orderd salted lassi no ice - only to be given lassi with ice, told the waiter she took the ice out by this time the lassi was already cold and given back half glass of lassi. Once the food arrived we asked for some salt only to be given a empty salt shaker. Whilst 2 of the kids had finished eatting myself and wife were still eatting the waiter just came and picked up our plates to clan up. Awful experiance never will visit again.

4/10My recent visit to Chai Thali, an Indian eatery, left much to be desired. Despite high expectations, the overall experience fell short due to several key factors. Firstly, the prices were notably high, considering the portions served were disproportionately small. For instance, the starter, pani puri, was offered in a meagre quantity of only five pieces. Disappointingly, the filling lacked depth, with the puris inadequately stuffed, leaving little impression of the potato filling. Additionally, the imli shot accompanying the dish was overly diluted, lacking the tangy punch expected from traditional tamarind water and there was too much mint. The main course, highlighted by a butter chicken dish priced at £11.90, felt insufficient for individual consumption, contrary to the communal nature typical of Indian curry dishes. Accompaniments such as rice and naan were scant, barely sufficient to complement the main dish. The naan, in particular, lacked the characteristic fluffiness and thickness associated with authentic Indian bread, presenting a stark departure from expectations. Amidst these disappointments, the lone bright spot was the chili chicken, reminiscent of chili paneer, which stood out for its flavourful preparation and satisfying texture. Furthermore, my disappointment extended to the beverage options, notably the lassi, which was priced at an exorbitant £6.90. Given the context of London's dining scene, particularly outside of premium locales like Camden, such a steep price tag felt unjustifiable. Lassi, a traditional yogurt-based drink, is typically priced more modestly, ranging between £4 to £5 in most establishments. This disparity in pricing further underscored the restaurant's disconnect from reasonable market standards, contributing to an overall sense of dissatisfaction with the dining experience. In conclusion, while Chai Thali may offer a promising menu, the experience was marred by high prices, inadequate portions, inconsistencies in flavour and execution, and unreasonable pricing of beverages. For those seeking an authentic and satisfying Indian dining experience, this establishment may fall short of expectations, especially considering the value proposition in comparison to other options available in London.

9/10Loved it! A hidden gem, surprisingly not busy and the food was delicious! Great for people who aren't too familiar with Indian cuisine, but probably those more experienced will enjoy it too. Loved it enough to come again

3.5/10The quality of the food was terrible overall. The garlic naan was very salty and greasy. The prawn vindaloo curry was not spicy at all and very in thin in consistency. Very disappointed indeed. However the biryani was a little above average.

10/10Tuck away in a quiet side street in Camden, I discovered a gem. Beautiful restaurant with really tasty dishes. Definitely worth a visit, I’m certainly going to be back there soon!

10/10Great Indian street food. More interesting than your normal curry fare. Went with a group and everybody enjoyed the food and ambience. One of the best indian restaurants in north London. Definitely worth a trip….

7.5/10Service was very good as was the food. There was a large group of people who had come with lots of children. They were unbelievably loud and the kids were standing on the sofas in the booths all the time. It was impossible to talk and there was no controlling them. If you want an evening to relax and talk, this wasn't the place.
