8.5/10It's lovely to have somewhere to eat after an evening browse at Harrods. The food is good - it's also super expensive of course, so that places a higher expectation on the quality of the fodd. Overall we go for the convenience and the experience rather than the food, and it's fine.

5/10They had run out of most of the dishes we wanted to order including drinks. And the dishes that were available weren't that great. The food is extremely overpriced for what it is and the quality has gone downhill since I've last been there. I wish we'd gone to another restaurant in Harrods instead.

2.5/10Probably the most disappointing and expensive Chinese meal we have ever had. 'Peking' duck was inedible and very expensive and they charged and brought us the more expensive half portion despite us repeating we wanted the full portion. Do not come here.

4/10I never leave a bad review. Companies can have bad days but this place left me with a dissatisfaction in my hearts. Its food was mediocre, its service was nothing extraordinary and the ambiance was ok. Location is the only reason I suspect people go here, but it’s up on the fifth floor of Harrods and in some corner, it’s not really my idea of a good location. I suspect this place is for people who will post about the shopping and lunch at harrods and don’t care too much about the food because after 4 bites they are not interested anymore due being weight conscious. After spending over £200 on lunch for 3 (no alcohol) we left the place and I was honestly still hungry. I honestly don’t eat at lot, so that’s telling about the food potions

6.5/10When you book at 7 knowing that it closes at 9 and then tricky to get the staffs attention despite it only being a quarter full…you wouldn’t then expect to be told you need to order quickly as the kitchen shuts at 8! Lovely presentation of food, but overpriced in the circumstances…

10/10The food was delicious, and the choice was great - there are lots of unique and unusual dishes that are worth trying and some familiar meals like the Beijing duck or chicken in sweet and sour sauce yet presented from another angle. The personnel is friendly, hospitable and with pleasant smiles on the face. Lastly, the atmosphere corresponds to the quality of food aforementioned - dimmed lights and entourage, stylish furniture with the addition of the open kitchen create that exact true sense of cosy, aristocratic London, only with some contrast, complementary notes of Asia.

8/10Have eaten here many times and its always been outstanding. This time food was not served in any sensible order - we did request the order we wanted - and the table was overloaded with dishes and some went cold. I think some staff have been diverted to the new Chai Wu experience in Harrods so hopefully will correct over time.

4.5/10Pretentious with appalling service, had pour our own wine , had to ask multiple times for drinks menus , food was nice but nothing special but came at an eye watering cost of £500 for 2 people .

10/10I just returned from lunch with a friend at Chai Wu. The food was excellent, in particular the wagu puffs and the the crystal sea bass gold leaf dumplings. The service was attentive , but not over bearing. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Great to find somewhere with a quality dining experience while shopping. Michelle

10/10Chai Wu has always been my go-to restaurant since I knew about it years ago. The ambience is relaxing and the food is oh-so-good! Love the wagyu puffs especially! Will be going back again before I leave the UK next week!

3.5/10The ambiance was too dark and not welcoming - I didn't enjoy the service as they didn't attend to us after placing our meals down so couldn't order more food. I felt overall that it was an overpriced restaurant and minimal service. The experience of a restaurant is far more important than the food I find.

10/10I have been visiting Chai Wu since it opened six years ago and have found it to be consistently wonderful. The food is sublime and the service is always friendly and helpful. This is one of London's best outlets for high Chinese/Japanese dining.

10/10Chai Wu is consistantly remarkable. The staff are always welcoming and solicitous and the food is sublime. It is a pleasure to visit and be so well looked after. A wonderful experience. One of the best restaurants in London.
