Cheese + Fizz is a gem! Amazing cheese selection and champagne. The padron peppers were cooked perfectly. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommended!

10/10Such a lovely spot in Brixton Village which is already a lovely spot! We had the champagne flight and a selection of cheeses and both were amazing! The staff are great - clearly a lot of thought has gone into it all. Very cosy vibes too. Really recommend - will be back.

10/10Two of us had the afternoon tea to celebrate Christmas. The service was excellent, the cheeses, desserts and accompaniments were all explained so we knew what we were eating We had a cocktail each, a beer and then the champagne that came with the meal and everything was great The atmosphere was nice, the decor was interesting and gave me something to look at whilst waiting for my friend We were not rushed at any point and the staff were attentive without being overbearing Bought a cheese and some fig jelly to take away and have with my Christmas cheeseboard! A wonderfully different meal!

Great fondue, escargots, truffle raclette and caneles!! Everything was delicious and the servers were so friendly. Best caneles I've ever had in London, so warm and chewy with that toffee sauce, just the perfect dessert to round off the meal.

9.5/10Great little place in Brixton market.. cosy and warm inside. Service was friendly, warm and attentive while food was very tasty and hugh quality ingredients. 241 cocktails too, can’t go wrong! Will definitely be returning!

Very good selection of meat and bread. The seasonal fondue cheese was a bit too salty for my taste. Lovely and effective service. They had my table booked w the plaque on my name so sweet.

7/10The staff are extremely friendly, attentive and welcoming,the food was ok,it's more of a wine bar than a restaurant although they'd run out of diet coke,the fondue was hot and tasty but didn't quite work the cheese and juice had separated normally when you have a fondue your given a wooden spoon to mix so maybe not having one was the reason the bread soaked the juice and then you had to twist the cheese on it didn't work like a normal cheese fondue. Would I go again yes if in the area but for drinks and nibbles not fondue,.

10/10Excellent food, excellent drinks, very friendly and quick service. Told them on the booking it was my girlfriends birthday and they were prepared and treated us like the most important people in the room all evening. The racclette, confit duck, and charcuterie boards were delicious. Would go again, need to try the fondue next

9.5/10Based inside Brixton Village, Cheese & Fizz has a great ‘outdoors/indoors’ feel. A short menu makes it easy to choose and the wine was great. The manager did us a 500ml carafe with a great wine too.

Lovely cheese and fizz, service a little slow but the staff were really friendly. Nice atmosphere but a little chilly, even with heat lamps. Definitely would come back though!

6.5/10Food was expensive and of mixed quality. Baked camembert was clearly over-ripe and too heavy on the garlic and herbs. Cheeseboard was small and not the highest quality for the price. Salad was small, basic and the dressing didn't go with the cheese at all. Raclette and bread were good.

3/10We waited 50 mins for food because the waiter took our order wrong (he'd written down drinks and sides but no main). Then when the food arrived it was rushed and things were missing from our order. We ordered a fondue but the light went out five times, and the cheese kept getting hard and inedible. In the end we left and had a burger next door.

3.5/10The manager was rude and abrasive. He stated that he didn't work for nothing. He said we should contact the fork if we want a free meal. I stated that if he is unhappy with the fork then he needs to contact them rather than rant at us.

Hi Bodicea - we're sorry about your unpleasant experience - you're right, this is not good enough. The good news is that we had a major makeover and now our bistro is beautiful as expected with warm, funky ambience and plenty of seats inside. We have a new team led by lovely Pierre, who has managed our sister bistro in Greenwich for many years. We also introduced a new, exciting menu adding mouthwatering fondue (!) and a list of most loved wines, champagnes and cocktails. We apologise once again and we hope you will pay us another visit very soon!

10/10The Raclette was fantastic and generous and so much fun to eat. The staff are lovely and friendly and the food and drinks on offer are excellent and reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.
