10/10This was a wonderful dinner. My wife and I selected from the Pre-Theatre Menu as we had a show at Royal Albert Hall. I had the chicken noodle soup and the rib eye steak with fries, and my wife had the smoked ham hock terrine and the breast of duck. The food and service were excellent. Just wish we had time for dessert. We will be back next time we are in London.

Last night, my wife and I celebrated her birthday at Cheneston’s Restaurant in the Milestone Hotel, and it was a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were embraced by the hotel’s traditional British elegance and old-world charm, which created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant was cozy yet sophisticated, offering impeccable service that truly matched its five-star reputation. We started with grilled tiger prawns, which had a smoky flavor with Southeast Asian influences. The highlight was the Grilled Pork Tomahawk—it was tender, rich in flavor, and perfectly complemented by a well-balanced sauce. My wife’s Grilled Dover Sole, delicately seasoned with spring onion oil and lemon juice, was simple yet satisfying. Overall, Cheneston’s provided an exceptional dining experience. The combination of luxurious ambiance, outstanding service, and excellent food left us thoroughly content and eager to return.

8/10I will first say the food in this restaurant was excellent. I ordered the pork chop with fried artichokes and creamed spinach. I was slightly surprised the sides were not included with the entree and were additional cost. Which brings me to the main reason I must give a lower rating to my experience, it is the price tag. The pork chop was £46, i think. My girlfriend ordered the ribeye at £56, which again - did not include sides. I found the price of this meal a bit unreasonable and it just tainted the entire experience. One can attain a proper good meal just about anywhere near the hotel. It really felt like I'd been punished for choosing to dine in. Also, I was offered a glass of champagne at dinner which cost £30 (for 1 glass!). I wasn't informed of this, I found out when the bill came. It may be worth mentioning, the champagne was also quite delicious. I just may have appreciated a heads up that it would cost that much. All in, about a £200 for this meal. Can't say I felt good about this. Lesson learned. However, the staff were very nice. My second grievance is the ambient music. I did not find it very ambient. This may seem trivial, but seriously - why not just play classical music or something? I found the department store pop music kind of distracting and sad. Hope this review doesn't seem too harsh. I was going for honest. Thank you.

It was so noisy despite being by myself in the room. The waiter kept walking back and forth behind me. Between the drafts and the cutlery clashing to set up the other tables. Food was okay.

10/10Warm welcome, professional staff. The atmosphere was perfect. The food was excellent - the standout for us was the pan-roasted fillet of Halibut with Crab, squid ink linguine, and the lobster Ravioli. Highly recommended.

10/10Wonderful experience! Charming ambiance, excellent service, an extensive wine list, & delicious food. It was an intimate dining experience easily followed (or proceeded) by a beautiful stroll through Kensington Gardens & Hyde Park. Definitely go! This was a true highlight of my time in London.

10/10Another superior experience at the Cheneston's. Impeccable service from booking to paying the bill. Paolo Pivato, the restaurant manager, was grand, as always. Praise to the rest of the team as well, for the excellent quality of the food, the attention, the ambiance and the whole experience. We were a party of three for dinner and couldn't notice the time going by, so much so that we literally were the last guest in the restaurant when we left.

10/10Another superb experience at Cheneston's. This time we invited a winemaker for lunch, so we tested the corkage arrangement, which was first-tier. Grand ambiance, excelent food, prime service and very good value for money.

6.5/10Great service but was rushed to order everything including the deserts at 21:00 cause the kitchen closes at 21:15 The food is very basic nothing special anyone could have cooked it so the chef could go home early. Not pleasant having kids arguing while trying to enjoy a moment The only high lights of the evening are the deep fried half oyster amuse bouche with concentrated lemon zest, the wonderful coconut pallet cleanser and my beautiful date across the table from me . Will not rush to go back there anytime soon .

10/10One of the best meals I’ve ever had! This place was fantastic. The building was built in the 1600’s and has all the charm but has been delicately maintained. The Halibut was delicious and the chicken pot-pie was also a fan favorite. We all had dessert as recommended by our waiter Theo. Great food, great atmosphere, and great service. Couldn’t be happier.

10/10The restaurant offered us dinner at 17.30 so a group of 8 friends could get to the Albert Hall in good time for a Prom concert - beautiful food beautifully presented in a lovely dining room with excellent service. Thank you very much. (the Prom was wonderful too!)
