The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. The food took a little bit too long to arrive, however, which meant that we had to rush it because I had a train to catch.

The food we had was nice but having arrived at 6.10pm we left at 7.40pm, an hour and a half later, having only had our starters. It was annoying to see the constant under eats drivers coming in and out who were presumably getting priority in the kitchen. At 7.15 we told the staff that we had an event at 8pm in De Montfort so needed our mains but nothing materialised. then staff didint really seem to care when we left and we were not the only ones leaving.

Came for a light dinner before a show at De Montfort Hall. Read some of the previous reviews before booking and noted particular moans about slow service & lack of seafood in the seafood dishes ! Well . . . given that it's a restaurant and not a fast-food joint, I'd rather wait for my food to be cooked to order, and it was cooked to perfection. As for the lack if seafood . . . . we had 2 chicken dishes and there was more than enough poultry for both of us. The service was particularly good and the restaurant is barely a 5-minute stroll to the Hall. For only our 2nd visit to Leicester, this whole experience left an excellent impression. Would definitely eat here again. Thanks to the chefs & staff.

We visited Chettinad very early evening for pre concert meal. We thought the service to be polite but almost too reserved. We weren't revisited to ask about desserts or hot drinks until too late to order. The food was excellent but a little more proactive service would be good. It didn’t help that our table was not visible from the service area.

We have visited 2 nd time nice food and good menu option.Few notices like chapati quality needs improve and In Malabar chicken biriyani Chicken quality needs to take care apart from that all items are very testy.

Cracking little find. Wanted something close to De Montfort Hall and this little gem did not disappoint. Welcomed by friendly and attentive staff, served with really decent quality food in good time and in a tastefully furnished area of the restaurant with a nice ambience. We will certainly be returning in the future.

This is our neighbourhood South Indian restaurant and we’ve been eating there since it opened. The food is lovely - lots of choice, freshly-cooked and excellent flavours. The kids’ menu is great. You always feel welcome, and I know our friends envy our luck in having such a nice restaurant just around the corner.

The restaurant was busy and noisy. That’s usually not a problem but add to that, the food was not hot, the waiter service was poor because he only cleared half the table before mains arrived. We ordered more drinks and only half the order arrived. We had to ask three times what had happened to the rest of the order. By this time the restaurant was not busy.
