9.5/10Went to Ideal Home Xmas Exhibition at Olympia and were looking for a bite to eat on the way home when passing through Hammersmith. Really nice, cosy restaurant. Service was excellent, friendly staff, and the food was tasty, good portions and nicely cooked and presented. Would recommend.

The food was excellent, particularly the sea bream that was just delicious. Spicy Coco was truly spicy but delicious--not for the faint hearted. Risotto was a bit on the sour side, as expected, but making it less sour would have elevated its overall flavours. We ordered steak to be medium rare, but it's more medium. Not a problem at all as it was still delicious. Service was superb and the ambiance was just right. Would definitely come back to try the other cocktails.

8.5/10Starters were amazing, the service was good and professional although it took sometime to get the staff attention, as we were sitting in the corner near the entrance, ambience is nice, main course was a bit weak, the truffle spaghetti had too much cream and the steak was not cooked well and was cold, the risotto was great

Went here on a date with my partner, it was brilliant! We both had steak and ordered them cooked differently and they were both perfect upon arrival! Staff were really friendly and gave us the allergen menu so we could avoid gluten as one of us is celiac. The only thing was the music was very loud jungle which felt a little odd for the setting, but it wasn’t a big issue and we had a brilliant evening ????

8.5/10Our third visit there. Service was great, friendly, fast Tried the pornstar martini, which was delicious. We shared the arancini, and the prawns, arancini was very tasty, the prawns had a sticky tomato sauce rather than Korean spicy volcano sauce advertised, so not what we requested. The main I had chicken tawook, mine was dry and overcooked but my wife's was good. Will return again.

6.5/10Service was great, cocktails were good but the food were just reheated precooked stuff! We were there at 3 in the afternoon so perhaps in the evenings or busy times the food would be better or freshly cooked

10/10Always a pleasure to dine at Chez Maiss. The staff are so friendly and accommodating and nothing is ever too much trouble. We are very well looked after. Even the chef came out to ask if we were happy with the food. We will be back soon :)

4/10It was our first time at this restaurant. We believed all the 5 star comments but the food was awful, nothing is fresh, handmade food. We sat inside and the atmosphere was so depressing as well.

9.5/10The food quality was excellent. 2 of us had the Prawn Lime and Cheese risotto which was fabulous and so was the cheese burger . The staff was friendly and the food came quickly and well made, The ambiance was a bit dark for our liking my the music was played at the right volume even though the restaurant was not full. Price for the food was just right not expensive for what we received. Will visit again.

10/10First time eating here and so glad we did, without a doubt it was one of the best restaurants we have found in London. Superb mixture of meat, vegetarian and vegan dishes. Good value and very tasty. The staff could not have been nicer. Perfect combination of attentive without being in your face. We would seriously think of travelling out to them Next time we are going to a show in the west end not just Hammersmith. Loved it.

10/10Fabulous restaurant tucked away in Hammersmith tube station with outdoor dining. We ate inside as weather not great. Nice arrangement. Tables with plenty of room. Service was was very good. Menu had many dishes I could have chosen. We (3 of us). Shared the truffle rice and cheese arancinis (3). Gorgeous. I chose the tawook chicken scewers. Very good with a lovely salad and fries. My wife chose lasagne which was delicious she told me. We will be back.

9.5/10We went to Chez Maiss before a concert at the Apollo, we hadn't been there before but would certainly recommend it. Everything we had was great - the Mezze dishes, flat iron steak and prawn risotto all really tasty. Nice bottle of red wine too, and the the service was great. We'll definitely go back.

7/10Nice food and nice music in the background. We were served between two writers. The one who sat us at the table was really nice and polite but the one who took our order was miserable. The cleanliness is very disappointing. Place is full of dust around the vine cabinet and filthy marks on the cabinet glass. Salt and pepper on our table was covered in grease.

While we totally appreciate your point and will encourage staff to do more work, we basically got the place a bit messy at that time when you arrived due to a show in the Apollo theatre next door. We literally got extremely busy more than the restaurant capacity and staff were running to ensure that everyone is served on time before the show. 6/10Enjoyed the food, steak was well flavoured and cooked to our liking. However, the toilets were less than acceptable. Poor smells from male toilet (where door of which opened right into the food service area) and overflowing sanitary waste bin in ladies. No music or general ambiance and lacked a warm welcome

We take these matters seriously and we conveyed that comment to our staff and will keep encouraging them to do better… They normally try their best to be on top of it, however when we have theatre crowd combined with staff shortage/absence, they may struggle to keep an eye on servicing customers who get stressed and time sensitive before the show while also ensuring they have the time to check busy toilets every 15 minutes. 10/10What a super restaurant. So close to the Eventim Apoloo but tucked away in a courtyard with other bars and cafes. A really lovely atmosphere both outside and in. Staff were fabulous and made us feel very welcome and very valued. The food, cocktails and wine were all spot on. If only this wasn't so far away from us I'd be in here very regularly.

4.5/10The service was very fast and cocktails delicious. The food was a reasonable quality but for the price I would have expected better. The restaurant needs a revamp paint peeling off the walls, glass in the windows dirty, uncomfortably warm inside and my chair had a broken back.

8.5/10Was a bit worried if it would be my sort of food, but certainly not disappointed, fairly big portions and very good food. I do have an issue with places that whack a service charge on the bill though. Always feel that’s cheeky as I’d rather tip tbh if service was good
