9/10very glad to have the chefs table back again. I can give you my person feedback and the thoughts of my guests, who joined me today, The chefs table has been cut back ALOT,,, one of the main reasons we ate here so often previously, was because of the lovely, generous choice from the buffet starters offered, on many occasions missing out on the Sunday lunch option and just dinning from the chefs starter table, because of the variety of choice available, i personally was more than content to have a little pick of the starters and opt for the delicious beef dinner, with the FAB, carrots, and may i also add the gravy today was exceptional. I can only give you my opinion/feedback and hope you can improve as previously to the variety of starters Thank You Elisabeth

8/10Nice food, prawn cocktail to start, prawns were fresh and the dish was nicely presented but the dressing lacked pendency. Seared tuna as a main which was delicious but a little dispointing to have no side served with it and those on the menu did not suit the dress particularly well. The wine was lovely. The service was fine but there were times when it took a little longer than I had hoped a I had put the team on notice that we were in a hurry because of a theatre booking. Without that the service was good.

9/10It had been a few years since we'd dined here but had never been disappointed with food even if previous service had been a bit unreliable. Arrived to find the booking that I had confirmed on my phone and had printed off was not on their system - not a good start. However they welcomed us and said they had tables available. The waitress was friendly, professional and welcoming. We had baked cod and massaman beef curry - both were delicious - followed by chocolate mousse and plum crumble with custard.... washed down with a nice glass of white whine each.... were pleasantly surprised that food standard was really good. Birmingham's policy of charging cars £8 had deterred us from city centre eateries since it was introduced so had been dining outside the city centre in Harborne and Edgbaston village instead. will definitely return.
