9/10Cosy, downstairs location, away from street noise. Had the lunch 3 course set menu - there was a good choice & it was all very nice! Sides cost extra, but we definitely needed a couple to supplement mains. Good choice of wine. Staff were friendly and attentive - made it a very easy & pleasant experience.

10/10The restaurant is located at the start of Chancery, Lane Fleet end This was our first visit to this restaurant, and we will certainly be returning. The tables are well spaced, and the staff extremely helpful, who went out of their way to make us welcome without being intrusive. The menu has a great a selection of dishes; everything was freshly prepared, well presented and delicious. There is an excellent wine list which is very reasonably priced.

10/10The service, ambiance and food were truly amazing. It was a special evening for us to celebrate our son's graduation. The chef presented us with a dessert plate with "Congratulations" written in chocolate, which was a very nice gesture. It was an unforgettable evening, we will go back for other special celebrations.

The food was very well presented and imaginatively combined. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The restaurant has a nice combination of high-seated snugs down the centre for couples/small groups and more formal tables up the sides. We went on an overcast day so didn't get the benefit of the ceiling-mounted windows, but on a sunny day it must be lovely. They place has a lovely calm ambience: I think we'll go back!

9/10A great place for a meet-up with old friends - nicely balanced monthly-changing menu with appealing options for our two vegetarians. Delicious cod's roe starter, fabulous lobster tails (fish special), lamb + garlic potatoes, nectarine tart with fig milk ice cream (amazing). Somewhat quiet on a Friday night, inevitably, but very friendly welcome and service: one missed drink order quickly brought on reminder. Friends loved it, especially with special offer (they had asked for somewhere not too pricey and were wowed by the food and the setting). Will definitely go back to try in other seasons: looking forward to autumn and spring menus especially.

10/10Lovely evening celebrating wedding anniversary at this wonderful restaurant. Service was at a good steady pace, with courteous, efficient and knowledgable staff. The dishes were well presented and very tasty. The white carafe wine was reasonably priced, well chilled and very drinkable. The restaurant was clean and welcoming.

9.5/10Great place for a quiet enjoable dinner. Tasty, even though relatively simple, dishes well executed. Pleasant environment. Steady quality. Attentive and friendly service. Very decent wine list with options for all the pockets. Stellar value for money with the TheFork offer. We will definitely go back.

10/10We enjoyed our dinner very much, every course was delicious. The extremely reasonably priced rosé was a great accompaniment. The Fork discount was a bonus but even without the set menus are exceptional value. Look forward to my next visit!

8.5/10We loved the setting. Enough variety on the set menu to try different dishes of which the fish of the day, correctly-cooked hake, was the highlight. Ordered a cocktail that had a replacement ingredient, which tasted a bit 'flat'.

8.5/10Good food in a lovely setting. The lamb was a bit overcooked and tough in parts. Hake was beautifully cooked. Starter of trout was delicious although portion was a little on the small side. Staff were brilliant and would return when menu changes to try other dishes.

9/10The service is great. Attentive staff and efficient at serving the food. I had a 50% discount so the value was amazing but without it, the food would be pricey, however the quality and ambiance could make it worth it depending on your occasion
